Eschew Obfuscation |
I see a couple a week in my area. I live near some pretty high-end neighborhoods and it seems that some folks just have to stand out from the riff raff driving BMWs, Mercedes, Cadillacs, etc. So, while not common, it's not unusual to see Maseratis, Bentleys, and Maybachs around town. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

I see lots of high end everything, but I live in Las Vegas so it's a given

Out in the stick where I live I see any of the Maseratis, Bentleys, Rolls, etc; the ones the potholes didn't swallow up the sink holes would get

You and I are neighbors, Jesse. You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless. NRA Benefactor/Patriot Member

Yup, see plenty, also living in the heart of Tesla country. I think much of it is a bit of romanticism with an Italian name. Better than a Fiat, more premium than an Alfa Romeo, and more interior comforts than an entry-level Ferrari. My former boss and I would get into what car we wanted...he wanted a Quatroporte, I wanted a DBS Superleggera.

Not really from Vienna![]() |
No. The nearest dealership is hundreds of miles away, though. And if NAPA or Vato Zone don’t sell parts for Maserati and you don’t want to work on it yourself, it ain’t getting fixed anywhere around here.

Shooting pal of mine, a detective in London who lives out here [60 miles away] has the quattroporte diesel. He let me take the wheel last year, and trust me, you'd never know it was a diesel - it sounds exactly like the regular gasoline-driven version. BUT, it does almost 40mpg [that's 33mpg to you]...

In SE Florida - I see several a day. They are very popular here and pretty sharp in my opinion. _______________________________________ Sailing on and off the mooring - sometimes.

There are fair number of Maseratis around, especially since the Maserati/Bentley dealer opened six months ago. The predominant vehicle in this area is a Yukon Denali XL/Suburban/Escalade/Navigator typically piloted by a Wexford Wife. Based on my observations these vehicles must be driven with the right hand while the left hand holds the phone. Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

In McKinney, TX hell yeah, along with a lot of other awesome cars. Here, not so much. Had a friend in TX who got a Quattroporte as a company car. Said it was the most fun he had ever had driving from gas station to gas station! You only have integrity once. - imprezaguy02

No, but I have this bass guitar, and from time to time, I imagine that it's a Maserati.

I play tennis with a group of guys who have some fancy cars. Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, and a Maserati. The Maserati is the Granturismo S and it is LOUD. Holy hell that thing is noisy! He tells me that the community he lives in has asked him NOT to drive it through the neighborhood during non-business hours! Since he has several cars he only drives it once in awhile and he has expressed to me that he's thinking of getting a Porsche GT series car to replace it. ____________________________ Yes, Para does appreciate humor.

The Ghibli is priced and marketed in the same space as the BMW 5 or the Mercedes E class. The first Maserati priced for the "masses".

Nope. Maserati start absolutely WHORING their cars out when the ghibli was introduced. I know of a few deals i was competing with.. Maserati made the owners last 3-4 other brand lastpayments of $6xx/month, discounted an 80k dollar car 20% (more margin that porsche even has the begin with), and 4K “down” the bulk of which goes towards fees, first payment etc. and a monthly fee of under $600 for a 12k mile lease. Here is the breakdown on one of the deals.. 2017 Levante MSRP: $82,600 Sale Price: $71,926 39 Months 5K miles $4k down $795 acquisition fee Total payment: $598 (without tax) Maserati will even throw in maintenance if you kick them hard enough. For comparison sake, I finished a lease deal for a 19 cayenne s I’m shipping to Dallas. $114,660 sticker, a MF porache hates us using (money factor), and a 7% (more than 3/4 our margin) discount and his payment was still $1600. NOW... he DID have some negative equity in his trade, BUT, that’s the sort of thing Maserati would have been able to eat. This is going to sound nuts, but it’s part of Audi’s business model to lose money on cars in favor of moving more units. They PLAN to lose money on every car leased or sold. If anyone is in the market for an exotic/ porache/ etc and wants me to go over the numbers I can help break down the deal for you. ------------------------------------ 135 ├┼┼╕ 246R

I had PCNA mandated Taycan training all day yesterday. This car is going to be an absolute Tesla killer (and we’re including the first three years of charging FREE [remember Tesla used to do two years free, then a year, then 6 months with a referral). Between that and the fed tax credit you don’t get with Tesla anymore, 600hp, and 80% charge in 15 min Tesla won’t hold a candle to our taycan. ------------------------------------ 135 ├┼┼╕ 246R
