Peace through superior firepower |
Because I can't have my pants falling down when the shooting starts. I hope to never have to use them, but that's true for quite a few things these days. Still, I think coveralls with plenty of pockets would be quite useful.

When I was a Cavalry platoon Sergeant I expected the troops to be standing tall and looking good at the beginning of the day. Then march them to the motor pool to work on their vehicles. Grease, oil, diesel and paint, yeah, no. Got them all issued several pair of mechanics coveralls. Two back pockets, two from pockets and two chest pockets. That's what I would look for. Only problem, same as Nomex flight suits...taking a dump requires, well, work. There ain't no back flap. https://www.armysurplusworld.c...ight-suits/coveralls If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

Those seem fairly reasonable. Would be curious about the thickness difference between the insulated & sateen. The Enemy's gate is down.

We used submariner coveralls in the CG for dirty work so our uniforms wouldn’t get paint or grease on them. On one ship we put our name tapes and rank on them and conducted boardings in them, because we were always getting dirty. But they’re blue. So you prolly don’t want those "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. Couple options here, but currently limited sizes. This place gets new shipments in somewhat regularly if you don’t see what you want… https://www.varusteleka.com/en...s-green-surplus/4276 https://www.varusteleka.com/en...e-drab-surplus/31262

The ones I had were blue and just front and rear pockets. They had belt loops and we had to wear a belt with them, which was nice when it got hot, you could drop the top and not be chasing your britches around. I get an option of coveralls or pants and shirt at work. I always choose coveralls. Carhartt's at the moment, no belt loops but plenty of pockets. I have some in the garage and in the car with nitrile gloves in the pockets. I know my insulated ones hold 4 AR mags in the back pockets. But I have a gun belt now with mag pouches that I can wear instead.

Nomex flight suits are great! The Mechanic Coveralls are a little thick and hoit in the summer. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Better option is forum issue unitard with utility belts and a backpack. Maybe we need a tactical unitard. Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

I like a vest with pockets and cargo pants. Throw on a field jacket and it takes me 10 minutes to find my keys. ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog

Years ago I had a couple of sets of OD tanker Nomex coveralls for quick middle-of-the-night SWAT callouts. A deputy who had been an Abrahms crewman said they didn't hold up well to crawling around on the ground, but the few times I esed them they worked fine for my purpose... I use a load bearing vest with belt loops attached to my normal belt. Acts as suspenders to hold my pants up and can be configured with whatever pockets, pouches, mag holders, you deem appropriate. ____________ Pace

The coveralls in your photo are Swiss, with the Swiss Alpenflange camo used from the 1950s-1980s. Still available at some surplus sites, and on ebay.

We wore the grey flight suit coveralls (I think from the helicopter crews) when performing CQB duties. I much preferred those over the standard woodland cammies of the day. Edited to add that Grainger carries some very similar to what I remember... for $260! I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

We wore Dickies coveralls in the plant, for awhile. They worked pretty well, and weren’t bad in the heat. I always liked overalls better.
