The grill prices have gone up considerably and I have seen clearance prices for hundreds off but you have to visit every retailer in person.

I have one but my dad is about to retire after 50+ years with the same employer. I want to get him one for a present. If it can be shipped, all the better but I think I’ll be limited to finding one in person myself since sale prices are never shown online.

I’m about to go hit all the hardware/lumber type stores.

In the Chicago area we have ABT for sales.
They ship and install all over the USA.

A few years back I was doing remodeling at home and needed "stuff". I needed a Weber Grill center and called ABT. I found the best deals are when you call and negotiate the price with a sales person. The sales person I contacted immediately took almost $1000 off the published price, he also included delivery and installation at the reduced price.

Thanks. I hit an Ace as suggested and found some Genesis 3 burners for a few hundred off. The things weigh 160lbs so I guess shipping is difficult for only one.

Does he have someone that can help him assemble it. If not you might want to call an ACE near his house and have an assembled grill delivered.

The BBQGuys are running a President sale including webers. I checked for same at HD and Lowes, but nothing yet.

I’ve had three Webers and now a Napoleon. You can’t beat a Weber in my opinion.

I checked. Closest was 35 miles away from him. I’ll be doing the delivery and setup now.

Ace was cheaper than anyone I found. Thanks.

I’m not to much of a scrounger, but we don’t use an outdoor grill all that much. I’ve normally just used the smoker.

Our neighbor goes through stuff for new rather often. They had a big grill in decent shape, Nexgrill brand I think. I did put a few internal parts to get it almost ‘as-new’. A few years ago they asked me to bring a Cub Cadet to the curb, free. My brother uses it often to this day.

I see Facebook marketplace has a bunch. It’s not just being cheap, can be a sense of accomplishment getting it in serviceable condition.

ABT is an incredible place. When I need a large appliance, I go to ABT. I don't even look elsewhere. Everything connected to the place is well done. From the salesman, to the delivery guy to the repairman, everything is done the way it should be done. Their customer service is the best, bar none. Part of the reason for that is the way ABT treats their employee's. Abt realizes that a happy employee is a good employee and treats their employees accordingly. I remember when they first started out in a little storefront on Milwaukee Ave right off Diversey. They have come a long way since then.

My local Home Depot had a few outside for about $150 off. Spirit series IIRC. Worth a look.

These go to eleven.

Mike Abt was the first BMW motorcycle dealer in Chicago. I wonder whether there's any family relation.

I bought a couple of BMW's from him, an R69S in the early 1970's and an R100RS around 1978 or '79, both red.
