Today is my 38th anniversary of being hired by Texas Instruments and coming to Dallas, Texas! That was my new job after retiring from USAF in 1980 (as a Captain O-3). I retired again in January 2005 and worked almost 2 more years as a consultant in the same office, on the same software, on a special upgrade project, finally stopping work in December 2006. My time here in Texas has been great! Texans have treated me very well and I liked my job. The 12 years of full retirement have been very good, too--lots of travel and musical activities (choral singing and handbells). Even threw in some shooting....

Thanks to all my friends here and scattered throughout the country. Life is good! (And I'll be 81 next month.)

Congratulations my friend.
Great feeling to get up when the hell you want,do nothing if that is your thing.
But in your case it was traveling the world
and enjoying life.

Glad to see you are still around, friend! I still remember my visit those several years ago.

Happy anniversary.
Yeah, I know. That's why I always specify O-3 so folks know I didn't rank that high.

Thanks.
