We don’t wear shoes in the house, so something which is easy to slip on, but comfortable if I’m spending a day in traffic.

(CHS doesn’t usually have much, but when it’s “20 minutes to go here, 15 minutes to go there, etc” it can make a day.)

For walking around downtown, I put on my NB, but my driving shoes were my favorite for running errands. They are now worn out, and apparently Tods are $900, when they weren’t bought at an outlet, 20+ years ago…

I am only recently an adopter of Sketchers Slip Ons. Bought 1 pair to try out and bought a second, different style, two weeks later. Very comfortable for walking. The second pair are my "walking track at the gym" shoes.

Another vote for Sketchers. Anywhere from $69-$89 at Academy Sports they quite often run sales as low as $35 or slightly more. Many of their shoes are also available in Wide which is something I need.

New balance use to make awesome sport slides, and they're my go to when I don't want to lace up my other New Balance. I hope they bring them back before mine are worn out.

I have become a big fan of OnClouds. Super comfortable.
I keep the top of the laces a little loose and just slide my foot in.
I may retie them once a month or so.

I rely on Vessi shoes. Very comfortable and waterproof. Although I also have two pairs of the Merrell Jungle Mocs that JonDaddy82 posted about.

When I travel I wear the Jungle Mocs and have the Vessi sneaks in my bag.

Winter: Born slip ons. This is something similar to what I have now.

Summer: flip flops. Good ones. My current are Rainbows similar to these.

Sketchers are comfortable but just don’t last long for me.

My go-to slip ons were Sperry.

But the company was sold again and the quality is down.

So I am back to either Timberline or LL Bean boat shoes.

I like the three eyelets but the two work fine for slip-ons.

Vans slip ons. 100% of the time. Easy on and off. If they get dirty, throw them in the washer. They last forever and when they do wear out, they are not that expensive to replace. Oh yeah, they are not uncool "dad" attire.

Skechers for me as well.

Priced right, slip-on, comfortable, washable, not ugly.

Skechers Slip-Ins (not slip-ons). The ones Howie Long advertises on TV. Mine are Max Cushion. They run true to size, are extremely comfortable, and very well-cushioned. They also work as advertised - easy on, easy off without bending over, good strong heal cup. Love them!

Danner Romeo

Danner Romeo. Looks good, protective leather, amazing traction in slippery conditions, slips on, comfortable after you break them in the first day or so. I'm on my third pair now, and I like them so much I'm considering stocking up just in case they stop making them.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
