Mrs Sig Marine wanted me to make her a "tasty" snack, so I did a little research and make her these bad boys...everything bagel chips.

And damn they are good!!!

Classic Plum Crumble I was given large bag of plums at their peak ripeness. I had no idea what I was gonna do with them all. I found a rather unusual recipe, to me. It requires you to layer shortbread, on a baking sheet with parchment paper. top with that layer with your fruit, add an additional layer of shortbread crumbs, and bake. With most everything I bake, I give the majority of it away to friends and Neighbors.
You can substitute any fruit beyond plums, but the plums were an excellent choice.

I haven’t baked a thing lately.
There’s a lady across town who puts up a “pop-up bread shop” just about every Saturday, loaded with sourdough breads, cookies, scones, brownies… all the goodies.

I’ve spent my allowance over there more than once. Smile

Just made this today for the first time and it is amazingly simple and really good.

Four ingredient peach cobbler/dump cake

1 - Three standard size cans of sliced or chunk peaches in heavy syrup
2 - One box of butter recipe yellow cake mix
3 - Two sticks of real butter (with or without salt)
4 - One tablespoon of cinnamon

Peaces and syrup go into cake pan. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and lightly stir into peaches and syrup. Sprinkle box of cake mix on top. Cut two sticks of butter into thin 1/16” to 1/8” thick pieces and place squares on top of cake mix covering entire top of cake mix. Bake for 60 minutes at 350F. Let cool for 30 minutes and it is ready to eat.

From scratch, two cherry pies.

In the bread machine, cinnamon raisin bread.

Sweet!
I had a bread machine, used it once, and gave it away; simply couldn't match the old school method of baking bread.

My biggest challenge is a rye bread, every time I make it if you don't eat at all today, it would become a deadly weapon tomorrow… Big Grin
