Those that don’t reveal but aren’t trying to hide COO may believe that their product quality is consistent regardless or isn’t clearly reflected in price.

Those that try to obfuscate are deceitful and are may be trying to sucker buyers into buying inferior products based on brand equity.

Depending on product, I will always look for US, Canada, Japan, German first. Then other except for China. And then China as a last resort.

 
Harry Epstein American Made Tools is a great place to shop. They clearly indicate COO by a flag symbol next to the listing. Most are American made, with a scattering of German and Japanese. There are also some cheaper Chinese imports, but for the most part it is an American made shopping site. Be sure to check out the Closeouts section for some good deals, too. It is a good source for Wright tools, and shipping is reasonable. They are family owned, at the same location, since 1933.
