I don't know how you, or anyone else in here could have predicted what the Olympics would become once unburdened by decency.

For me it's pretty simple, I never really watched it, so the death to me of the Olympics is no big deal. I feel bad for you as someone who just wants to enjoy the games without the extras (see NFL).

Jesse Owens and The Miracle on Ice, are long forgotten. I'm not even sure we have the same national pride we once had. If nothing else people would stop for a few moments at any TV just to see if we had more medals than Russia or not, and how our teams were doing.

RIP Olympics, it was fun while it lasted. For me it's something I remember from youth that no longer exists.

I didn't watch opening ceremonies. I turned on tv this morning and caught women's mountain biking. I am a mountain biker so it was interesting to me. USA got a silver medal!
