Yesterday I dropped a colleague from India off at the airport and we had a drink before he went through security. The TV at the airport terminal bar had the opening ceremonies on it. We saw the weird pale robotic horse on the river boat, and he definitely had a bemused WTF reaction. His two weeks in the U.S. were privy to the assassination attempt on Trump, the ousting of Biden and the anointing of Kamala Harris. Certainly an eventful trip. I told him not to come back for a while...

If I have to address the scolding posts again, I'm bringing suspensions with me to hand out.
On the flip side, I would expect members to be aware of the unpopularity of the Olympics this time around and to take it easy on the commentary of particular events, though, to be perfectly clear, I am not telling anyone that they can't comment at all on events they're interested in. Just make your post count.
