I am new to hearing aids and have not gone shooting since getting them. There have been lots of discussions on buying them. I have not seen anyone talk about using them when shooting. What does the hive do?

I wear mine only when I know I’ll specifically need their assistance such as in a meeting and therefore am not like someone who normally wears them all the time. If I did, however, I would just take them out when shooting. Turning up the volume on my noise-canceling hearing protection actually allows me to hear better than with the hearing aids. ► 6.0/94.0 “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz

Take 'em out. Like sigfreund, my Sordins work just as well (or better) anyway so there's really no need for them. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. ^^^ Yup, take them out and use electronic muffs. Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

I leav mine in the cup holders in my truck. I also wear double hear pro (plugs and muffs) as I want to preserve what hearing I have left. “You may beat me, but you will never win.” sigmonkey-2020 “ in my opinion, anything that we can do to trigger a potential aneurysm in a leftist is a good thing and worth doing” nhtagmember 2025

Mine came with a small case, so they go in there for protection. They can be shut down with a button on them, though the batteries won't drain any faster in the case than in my ears. For sure they provide zero protection from noise. So I wear plugs or muffs whenever doing anything noisy.

I leave mine in. Mute them with the phone app, most of the time my electronic ears are tuned off. (I tell the RSO that he may need to tap me on the shoulder to call a cold range) I used to have a pair that weren’t Bluetooth capable. They got removed and used plugs n muffs. -------- After the game, the King and the pawn go into the same box.

If I am shooting, I remove them. I shoot skeet in a local league. The host club is responsible for pulling and scoring. So when I am pulling/scoring, I do wear my hearing aids with electronic over the ear muffs so I can hear the shooters call. Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

I have a storage case that came with the aids. I keep one in my range bag.

I take them out, put them in the charger case. "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead."
