I’m not at the Mac, so I cannot embed, but if you liked the story of North Platte’s reception of soldiers now, you need to see this account of the history of North Platte during WWII.
It’s my stay over point when driving to Denver, also one of the farthest western towns on central time. During the summer you can get last light up to 9:45pm.
