Same. I say that for people on intending to stay here in TX. I’ve already bought my land out of state so now it’s a couple of years of busting ass to get my building put on so I can exfil. I cannot wait to get out of fucking TX, the damage is already done. H1B Visas + Californians = total ruination. Millions of them here where I live. Even local drives to run errands are LA like traffic.

Imagine what life would be like in Texas wearing your hoop earrings and half assed makeup to the outlet mall with your bike shorts and no wig. How could you and your boyfriend "parade" around in public anymore in the other gender's clothes and face paint, like gods to be worshipped.

Oh you've been to Austin Big Grin

That's some messed up marketing, maybe they should worry about California

Where the heck are you getting your CA avocados? We’re gone at the moment, but email me at the address in my profile with a shipping address and I’ll get you some real CA avocados to try.

Re: avocado toast, make toast however you normally do, then take a ripe avocado and smoosh (technical term) with a fork similar to what you would do when starting to make guacamole. Personally, I just add salt, but some folks use all manner of seasonings, and some restaurants add fru-fru stuff. To each their own.

I think you fit into the 'long suffering normal Californians' definition. I was very pleased when you escaped.

Leave the fru-fru. Add some bacon.

I made it to middle Tennessee. First thing I did was buy an off roster p365 and standard cap magazines for my existing sigs.

Second thing I did. Was get my enhanced carry permit.

Third thing I did was go to a meeting of the Republicans of Nashville. Oddly, they think Nashville is a commie hellhole almost beyond redemption. I had to chuckle being from L.A. But I understand where they’re coming from.

I love it here. It’s glorious. I joke to people that you have to smack the smile off my face.

I’ll do my part to preserve it.

Sigalert is proof there are good people in California, they are just outnumbered and the political climate and rules have been fixed to keep them from gaining any traction in the state.

Ca is what happens when the one party gets control of everything for long enough that challengers can't fight back because they will change the rules.

It’s just speculation, but I strongly suspect the prime, and perhaps only motivator is the loss of money. I doubt they care if there are few conservatives there because they have so little influence over anything that matters, and they’re likely to be in the monied group. And as people in many more Rightest states mention time and again, the ones moving from California usually bring leftist views with them. They’re not fleeing the ideas, they’re fleeing their consequences.

Leftists tend to not identify what causes the horrible conditions they’re fleeing, and it’s not new; it’s been true throughout their history. In fact, it was a basic tenet of Marxism/Leninism that the utopian Communist state would not come into being until human nature itself changed and led to the rise of the “new Soviet man.” Until then it was necessary to run things by a dictatorship to control the ignorant unconverted who objected to the conditions the ideological practices caused. It wasn’t that the ideology and its practices were bad, it was people who were bad.

Like self-blinded followers of other beliefs and bizarre ideologies, leftists blame everything bad on everything except the ideology itself. That’s why more and more we’re seeing our own leftists claiming that places like the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cuba, et al., didn’t/don’t practice “real” socialism and therefore cannot be used as examples of why we should avoid it ourselves.

Very astute observation. My Calif transplant neighbors retired here (Male was a LEO) for economic reasons but consider themselves the enlightened ones in the midst of barbarians. They continue to support leftist politicians and causes. Economic factors continually change behaviors. “No, when my child graduates from high school, they certainly won’t attend college in Texas. They’ll go to college in California!” Then: “I found out Texas provides a nice tuition discount to veteran’s kids! We’re looking a Texas universities now.”

On the other hand, I have some California transplant friends who are very conservative and hate what happened in their state.

Wish we had more of the 2nd kind.
