As a lifelong Tigers fan and MLB fan in general, I’ve enjoyed watching him play for the last 20 years. Anyone who loves the game, and or if you have kids, this was so special to watch!

Never liked him. Unless he did work in the communities he played in I always saw as a self absorbed egomaniac. He mirrors what gives professional sports a black eye. Ymmv.

Uh..ok. Ever hear of Wins for Warriors Foundation? It’s a non-profit organization founded in 2013 by Justin Verlander to empower military members, veterans, and their families.

I am a HUGE JV fan! He was such a competitor.

The Tigers could not have done a better job today with his sendoff with his family there.

Hated him when he was pitching for the Giants and kicking DBacks asses.

That final goodbye was very well done…especially the daughter sprinting out to the mound!
Enjoy your retirement JV. You earned it!

Great way to close out that game too with a walk-off homer

Between Verlander's retirement & touching scene with his daughter and the departure of Giant's announcer Mike Krukow, lots of kind words and emotions being spilled.

I'd have quit nine years ago if I scored his wife.
