I walk through that corridor a few nights each month because the theatres are nearby. Sometimes it's empty. Sometimes it's a shooting gallery. It's not like the junkies magically appear. A couple rent a cops telling them to beat it should suffice. The only reason this exists is because the city lets it exist. The ballet now offers a shuttle from BART to the Opera House because older and more suburban patrons are tired of running the filthy gauntlet inside and outside the station. The station elevators are no go zones and the escalators are often down because they're clogged with feces.

Legalize the Constitution |
Video is shot and it’s shown. Now BART officials and the mayor are concerned and vow to do something. Business as usual as soon as the story goes away. This city appears (from a safe distance) to personify everything that’s wrong with a part of the country happily subjecting itself to radical leftist political control. There is a major event taking place at Laguna Seca in September that we seriously considered attending. After a short while it started to feel like a trip behind the Iron Curtain at the height of the Cold War. Plenty of other places to go. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Para said exactly what I was thinking, it would seem a biblical event is needed to 'fix' the mess the 'adult' snow flakes have allowed to continue.

Civic Center station is the worst station downtown. There are homeless everywhere at street level, too. But what people don't know is that the homeless actually camp out underneath the platforms, which have crawlspaces which run the entire length of the platforms and are reached by entering "restricted access" maintenance areas at each end of the platforms. All you have to do is jump down onto the tracks to get around the locked doors. Bear in mind that I was patrolling all four stations on Market Street for SFMTA way back in 2006 and 2007. This isn't a sudden problem. Itake BART daily for 13 years from the eastern suburbs to downtown SF. It’s gotten worse on those years I now see feces on the train. I see syringes on the train. The bums on the train sleep across multiple seats during sardine packed commute times. Bart PD does nothing about it. The stations in SF are a joke. The agents stay in their little glass cubes and do nothing to help anybody. Faregate jumping is rampant. I pay about 16$ a day including parking to get to work and back if I’m running late and parking is full there is no street or other local parking available until 10am. So parking in a very empty lot that your not supposed to park in until 10 am is a 75$ ticket. The escalator up to the street level in the station was recently out of service for weeks because it was jammed shut with human waste from all the bums that sleep in the stairwell at night.

Re Orguss and ElToro Seems to me the City is quite adept at denial/cover-up with this problem, and they continue to fertilize the roots. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. Man that place is out of control. Was talking about San Fran with fiancee last night when the footage from my first post came on TV. She said "remember, you liked it when we visited?" I had to remind her the trip into San Francisco when we visited her parents was my least favorite part of the trip and we went to the "nice part" of town. San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell vowed to make sure something gets done. “The situation in our BART stations is simply unacceptable,” he told the station. “Borders on disastrous.” San Francisco BART officials expressed concerns after the video surfaced. BART Director Bevan Dufty, who is responsive for the Civic Center Station, told CBS San Francisco the video was “very sobering” and it discourages commuters. Therein lies part of the problem. When was the last time either the Mayor OR the Director rode the BART? I imagine the Mayor has a driver and a car as part of his security detail and at minimum the Director has a city supplied car. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. Uh huh. Not that you'd ever consent to dirty your shoes and actually take a walk though the place and see for yourself, huh? At the very least, you should be fired, but it would be more appropriate to jail you sons o' bitches for a year or two. ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

So BART officials are concerned? Semi-drift. A year or so ago there was another video that "surfaced" showing a BART janitor (who made $275K a year with overtime) spend much of his time sleeping on the job. BART officials didn't see any reason to take corrective action re that video. Seems to me BART mgmt is a divide by zero error, anything they do is messed up. Get Off My Lawn |
Just came back from San Francisco from a business trip last week. I have traveled there for years and it is a more retched version of Gotham. The homeless and retched characters rule downtown. I saw more than a few "sidewalk sales", shit all spread on a dirty sheet in the open. Stuff that obviously belonged in a carry on bag, with bag for sale also. The homeless steal luggage from the hapless tourists in the wide open, I have witnessed this. I have long learned to step carefully on the sidewalks, avoiding all puddles and brown areas. I have seen perhaps a dozen piles of shit in the 3 days there, most between cars. This is a city that is God's permanent toilet. Downtown San Francisco is less than an hour away, I haven't walked on those streets for years, intentionally so. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. Wall it off. We did a trip this spring to Tahoe and briefly considered a day trip to the Warf before leaving. It didn’t take long to drop it from consideration. I prefer to recall SF from my trip there as a kid in the early 90s. Beautiful city, roar of two H53s taking off from near the Presidio, A6s blasting off from NAS Alameda, staying on a Navy Yard with a friend of the family. Of course they had all been BRAC’ed by then and were living on borrowed time, but Mir Woods and the other sights were great to see.

bigger government = smaller citizen |
Didn't we do away with the great swaths of human death and misery, that the middle ages were rife with, by advancing to the point of NOT LIVING AND DWELLING IN HUMAN FECES?!?! Good grief. 5 years from now the headline will be "Black death makes baffling resurgence in San Francisco, Trump's anti-immigration policies possibly to blame" Regressives are the worst. “The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it.”—H.L. Mencken

Jail? Somewhat counter-productive. How does that saying go? "You made the bed you sleep in." Or one of the variations... They make hundreds of thousands a year to make decisions. Decisions that are supposed to be for the best. Looks like failure to me. Make THEM clean it up. Buy the rubber gloves, mops, buckets out of their salary, then clean up their own fucking mess that they made. Literally. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot.
