One mans take on the internal mental aspect of long distance running. Envious? You bet!! My left one too be able to do what he does, and be where he goes under my own steam. Brings to mind Forrest Gump.
LSD: Long Slow Distance from David & Douglas on Vimeo.
| ||

So, this isn't about a Limited Slip Differential? Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. "If dogs don't go to Heaven, I want to go where they go" Will Rogers The definition of the words we used, carry a meaning of their own...

My accountant ran the Western States 100 several times, entering as a 35yo & last entry as 45yo. This is the 100 miles in "24 hours" if you want the BIG belt buckle. From near Donner Summit/Olympic Village to Auburn, California. That's 'only 4 miles an hour'.....for 24 hours straight.... It did rather get in his blood, & he ran many other marathons, never in the top finishers, yet he finished most of them. **************~~~~~~~~~~ "I've been on this rock too long to bother with these liars any more." ~SIGforum advisor~ "When the pain of staying the same outweighs the pain of change, then change will come."~~sigmonkey

If he'd stop running ultras in the desert and instead hit some serious hills and mtns, his mind wouldn't wander like this...

His journey is more internal than external. He uses the running medium to get better acquainted with his mental/spiritual self.
