Mid day get together today at 13:00 and then "drinks, apps and pictures" at 17:00.

Dinner tomorrow evening. Class member is picking up the tab for the Saturday event.

We had about 175 in our class, one of the largest as we were pretty much the crest of the Baby Boom.

As the saying goes, "didn't like them or hang out with them then, why should I now?" Zero plans to attend any of it.

Class of 1979, never attended any of my high school reunions. Never once occurred to me. My wife had attended two of hers, they were shitshow "interesting" to her . And I did not escort her to those.

What's wrong with you guys? I graduated in 1965 so my 50th reunion was a few years back but I had a blast. Shoot, I flew over 1500 miles to go to the damn thing.

I was class of '76. A reunion was planned, but got cancelled unfortunately. There's a big drama story behind it that I won't go into, but I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to it.

Never attended any reunion. Never interested. Nobody I wanted to see again that I already wasn’t keeping in contact with.

Class of 73 so my 50th was a couple years ago. Never attended a one of them and had no plans on attending that one. I was hounded relentlessly by email months in advance to attend by the organizing committee. Found out later my wife gave out my email to somebody that contacted her on the damn Book! We had a discussion and I'm assured she will never, ever, do that again.

I figured half the people didn't like me and I didn't like the other half back then.

My 50th HS reunion was 10 years ago. I watched the HS's website for info but it was never mentioned, so I found out about it after it happened when pics appeared on the school's website.

Of some 235 guys, only 11 showed up. Gee, do you wonder why?

Class of '72. Our class graduated in the Spring of 72 and numbered 1100. Because it was a mid-year graduation, reunions were combined with folk graduating a half year later.

Went to my 25 years just to see what it was like. Wasn't too impressed. Saw some friends, but there hadn't been much change in 25 years other than some deaths...I think my SO enjoyed it more than I did

There were even fewer of us at the 50th reunion. I wasn't motivated enough to travel and get a hotel room in The City...wife had no interest in going at all. Saw some pictures from the event, don't think I missed much

My 50th is next weekend. We will be attending one event on Friday evening. There are a few folks I will enjoy seeing and visiting with. The rest...not so much. But life is short folks. Enjoy it while ya can...

Never been to one of mine, and find no desire to start now. 50 will be coming up shortly and I won't be attending that one either. I escorted my ex-wife to her 10th and it solidified my resolve to never attend one of my own.

Now a college reunion I could get into. I think that would be a lot of fun. I don't have the time nor energy to organize it, but if someone did, I'd attend that.

My 50th is next summer, also in MI. We had 512 in our class, the school has shrunk every year since 1985. It will still be fun. A lot of folks that I did not know or get along with then, but do very well with now.

Class of `76 here too, so my 50th would be this year. I got a phone call from somebody for the 5th, or rather Mom did, I'd flown the nest by then. I didn't go to that one and I never heard from anybody again. No interest at all in going even if I did get an invite.

Mine is scheduled for later this year. I'm normally working an air show (happens to be the same weekend), so I've asked them to bring someone in to learn the ropes for me to leave.

I went to my class of 1974 reunion and had a blast. Meet and greet on Friday with snacks then a bunch of us sat together at the High School foot ball game on Friday Night. Saturday night had dinner and dance. Had door prizes and other swag. The reunion committee went all out to make it great. Got to see some old friends I hadn't seen in 50 years.

Oh, I hear you Para. It can certainly be a roll of the dice. If I may, a quick story.

My 50th was the only reunion I ever went to and that was due to my wife that insisted I go and have a good time but she wanted no part of it. So, I went.

I remember sitting at a table reading a flyer they printed up listing classmates that had died..."no longer with us" type of thing. I looked up and there was a gal standing there looking at my name tag and asked if she could join me. I said "sure". I looked at her name and barely remembered her. She was a mousy little thing back then that I bet never said more than five words during her high school days. Standing before me was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Well over six feet tall, long silver grey hair and deeply tanned. She was striking, plain and simple.

We talked for well over half an hour and I found her to be one of the most entertaining people I have ever met. You just never know.

My 55th is this fall. Pretty low profile affair in contrast to prior events, it’s being held at a local bar in that city about thirty miles away, an afternoon instead of prior ones in the evening.

Still on the fence about going. We attended my 30th along with a friend and his wife from my FD days, she was a classmate. If I go I’ll probably ride one of the bikes weather permitting. If not, I’ll park my 160k Wrangler amid a sea of BMW’s and other luxury brands, fairly affluent area back then as well as today. Actually in the early 00’s we looked at a couple of homes in that area but nothing really said “I’m home” to me. And seeing how it’s become more “foo-foo” with trendy bars, shopping and retail its normally a pass through town for me.

I never really fit in with my classmates academically, economically or socially. Only dated maybe three or four of girls from that school, one was two years after my “alleged” graduation, a whole other story there. I’m still in contact with a handful, mainly ones that found me on FB.
