Wife moved into my paid off house. “It’s still your house”. Looks like a bachelor pad (ok I’m almost 60 and married for the first time. What would one expect

I’ll admit aspects need to be updated. Especially the aqua and pink bathrooms for the 60’s (I do love the old school full flush)

I’ve simply said, make it how you want……..

I get, you decide response

We see if our marriage survives on a simple thing

She’s a full blown type A personality. Italian And Hispanic mix. Oh my

Good luck, God Bless, you'll get the last two words in, either "Yes dear" or "you're right."

Our Son is updating their master bath. He did the tear out and hired the trade for plumbing, tiling, drywall and shower glass. The project will take a month to complete as only one trade can work at a time.

It will be fine.

I always kinda liked aqua and pink bathrooms. Didn’t care for the avocado green ones though.

In the same boat as you (the home remodel, that is, no wife).

It'll be a fun, enjoyable process that'll give you satisfaction like no other. No just kidding it's going to be a miserable couple of months. Wink

Just say 'there, there' a lot, and if that doesn't work a nice trip to Miami couldn't hurt. I am the voice of my people, just ask my ex-wife.

Forewarning, there is no “our house”. She may use that phrase, but it does not mean what you think it means.

You are missing an opportunity to turn that around, plop down and have a cold beer this evening.

That Toilet has value to someone resto-modding an older home....

Take the Pink one and that one, set them side by side with a table between them, put two drinks on the table and then take her to the deck to try out the new seats.....

What a beautiful view! If I had that deck, I would be hard pressed to go inside.

I did a bathroom remod. a few years ago and did most of the work myself. I need to do the other bath now but it is getting harder to do it myself and the added stress of doing it, makes it harder on everyone. I feel your pain. Good luck with the job and congrats with the new wife.

That's what the on-deck toilet is for.
