I think that’s how they were used in the first place: as persuasion tools.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

One hypothesis is that Epstein was a government agent set up specifically to gather blackmail evidence against powerful people. If so, the government would have every interest in keeping the tapes secret and ready to be deployed.

Oh, come on.

Epstein's an agent. The FBI or the CIA is holding onto evidence to blackmail US politicians.

Come on. Cut it out.

Unsubstantiated horse shit peddled by people who have no evidence to support their claims.

Take it elsewhere.

Michael Shellenberger thinks so...

Jeffrey Epstein Ran Sex Blackmail Operation For Intelligence Agencies, New Evidence Suggests
Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell used a puppet to entrap Prince Andrew, victim claims in unsealed court documents

Alex Gutentag and Michael Shellenberger

It’s true that some of the information released yesterday had already come to light. Last April, for example, the Wall Street Journal reported that the current director of the Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, had scheduled three meetings with Epstein in 2014. At the time, Burns was deputy secretary of state. According to the Journal, they met in Washington, D.C., and at Epstein’s townhouse in Manhattan. The Journal based its reporting on Epstein’s own emails and schedules.

In 2019, reporter Vicky Ward for the Daily Beast wrote a story about the Justice Department’s 2007 “non-prosecution agreement” with Epstein. Where others might have gone to prison for similar crimes, Epstein made a deal with the US Attorney’s office and avoided federal prosecution for sexually abusing young girls by pleading guilty to state prostitution charges in Florida. Under this agreement, Epstein avoided a potential life sentence and served only 13 months in a work-release program.

That same year, another of Epstein’s victims alleged that he had cameras in his house to monitor people. That claim lent further credence to the theory that Epstein was collecting compromising material on influential figures.

But the newly unsealed documents include powerful new evidence that Epstein and Maxwell were deliberately blackmailing people. Johanna Sjoberg, another one of Epstein’s victims, recounted that he and Maxwell had created a Prince Andrew puppet for Prince Andrew. They presented it to him and used it to guide him into taking sexual photos with Sjoberg and Giuffre.

“They put the puppet on Virginia’s lap,” Sjoberg testified, “and I sat on Andrew’s lap, and they put the puppet’s hand on Virginia’s breast, and Andrew put his hand on my breast, and they took a photo.”

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It's release 1 of X so doesn't mean much as far as Hanks and Gates. As far as Freeh or others, it's more important of why they're on the list rather than being on the list.

Para posted a great example in Trump earlier in the thread. During deposition attorney asks victim two questions on Trump and victim said no to both (i.e. Trump did nothing wrong to her), but sleazy news spins it as Trump is on the list.

Oprah Winfrey as well...

Ok, my $.02? for what it's worth-
Not every day on the Island was a weird sex party, or a sex party involving kids...

Hey, let's feel "Mr/Mrs X" out and see if they're into this stuff. Let's see if they like little kids BEFORE we just spring this shit on them and we get our asses in trouble / have to make someone disappear / unalive. (especially someone "important" that people will ask questions about if they come up missing / someone "important" that other powerful people will believe)

That being said, there's the "OUT" that a lot on that list are going to use:
"Yes, I was on the Island, but that stuff didnt happen when I was there! I never knew about that, I didn't see that, and I sure as hell would have reported it, if I did!"

Let's face it, there's a lot, and I mean A LOT of adults out there that are into some "kinky" stuff. Whatever happens between two (or three, four...) consenting adults, it's fine with me, and I'm not judging. I'm going to bet some real serious money that just because someone is "kinky" doesn't mean that they are "Immoral"! Even a group of people who are into the "Whip me, beat me, tie me up, here's my safeword" type stuff will be the first to call out anything dealing with Minors! There's a real definitive line there.

Unfortunately, through the course of the last 28+ years at this circus, I've come across one or two Pederasses. One of the absolute best bosses I've EVER worked for was in Special Investigations Unit as a Detective for years, Child Sex Cases is all he did for a long time.... You ever want to hear some stories that will make your stomach turn, talk about the most evil of the evil out there, Stan was the guy to talk to... Tougher man than I will ever be, because I'd just kill a fucker about 1/3rd of the way into the case, go home, have a beer, and sleep like a baby. Stan gave me a lot of insight into the psychology and thought process of these monsters.
At some point, they KNOW it's wrong.
Therefore, they won't just run around telling everyone. They won't tell their Neighbor "Hey, guess what I like to do!?!?" because they know that the Neighbor will call the police. Or hopefully the Neighbor will S.S.Stfu.! Wink

Epstein et al. "groomed" or "vetted" people that they thought they could trust.

It appears that the age of consent in the Virgin Islands, while a little complicated, is a low as 13.

Perhaps these guys didn't do anything technically illegal. Morally repugnant certainly, but not illegal.

What makes it illegal is when you transport a 15 year old girl from a state where the age of consent is 17, out of the state to somewhere where the age is 13.

But I do see this a lot in these types of threads. Many members seem to be of the impression that you must be 18 years old for sex to be legal. There are many states where the age of consent is 16 or 17.

So air all the details and let the court of public opinion decide. I would LOVE to see slick willie up there arguing that "screwing a 14 yr old was legal since age of consent is 13.". .

Even better would be seeing the msm and all the usual liberal sycophants defending the perps (only the liberla ones, of course).

There is a really good reason so many powerful people want this stuff buried.

Hadn't thought of that. I wonder if Epstein somehow or another made them USVI residents in order to get away with it. I'm guessing he was a pretty shrewd fella who thought things through (obviously not well enough, though).
