My dad (76 years old) has an MG. He has a hard time hearing passengers while driving down the road with the top down. I've found folks on YT that have installed a plane intercom system into a car, but I don't think it's a good idea to be wearing big aviation headsets while driving down the road. He does have Bluetooth hearing aids. Anybody aware of a peer to peer solution that doesn't require an Internet connection? Or an app that you can hook up 2 Bluetooth audio devices that can then communicate with each other? Any other ideas?

Are they using iPhones? There is the liveListen function built in... I've heard of other apps like Hear or AmpMe that offer mic - mic streaming but I've never used them...

Just stop there. This sounds like the perfect solution already in place.

It's a fun-times convertible. That's not where you have a conversation. You can shout stuff like WOOOHOOOO or LOOKOUT!!, but otherwise the talking should be at the bar/house after.

Cardo has BT headsets, will connect to each other and comm back and forth without having to press a button to talk, it's just live conversation, when you are not talking you can have music or GPS directions from the phone going to his set from his phone.

They have ball caps designed for this to be used without helmets, so they both would have easy way to use it. You can use your own ball cap.

Yes! Not being able to hear your passenger in a convertible might be the best thing that ever happened to him. Maybe carry a notepad for those "urgent" communications?

My hearing aids have a microphone accessory that clips on the speaker/pax and bluetooths to my aids. In a meeting I can set it in front of the speaker. My cellphone can do the same thing.
