Sorry, but as of today it's everyone's duty to ensure he remains a Minnesota problem, and yours alone. Wink

Tim Walz has embellished and selectively omitted facts and circumstances of his military career for years.

We, retired Command Sergeants Major of the Minnesota National Guard, feel it is our duty and responsibility to bring forth the truth as we know it concerning his service record. So, we have put together a timeline of his service post 9/11. To the best of our knowledge, this information is completely true, having been verified by all those who served in positions with first hand knowledge of the facts and circumstances of his service and departure from the Minnesota National Guard. Many of the dates and time frames are from his official discharge document and the reduction order reducing him to Master Sergeant.

He's like an older version of Newsom, with some National Guard service.

I appreciate you local Minnesota guys calling him out. I'm 5 states away hadn't heard of him.

It was the same when some of the country got excited about Beto O'Rourke. I had read articles about him and knew what a doofus he was. I hope his national election goes the same way as Beto's.

Just a thought it may be best to continue all Walz discussions over in the Kunty Kamala thread now that he's official instead of having two threads running.

Let's hope this isn't rope-a-dope.

It was suggested here earlier (can't remember who, sorry) the dims know this election cycle is a wash. No reason to sacrifice their best (?) now in a losing cause, wait for better circumstances. A Harris-Walz ticket seems ridiculous, doomed out of the blocks.

If nothing else, the left have been very patient for over a century, they'll wait.

Job one for a Trump presidency would be to create a country that can't tolerate a leftist nanny state. Big challenge, it has to be done.

I’m relieved also. They couldn’t pick Shapiro because the left is against Israel.

I have said this- none of the big hitters in the Democrat Party want to get near this shitshow, and at the top of the heap is Gavin Newsom. IMO, he knew he could not beat Trump, but can possibly beat Desantis/Vance/Ramaswamy, etc. in 2028. But obviously Harris cannot be the incumbent in 2028 in order to get rid of the stink that Biden has left behind and bring in new blood. This Walz guy is an unknown outside of MN, and an incompetent commie to boot, adds nothing to the campaign. It is not an exaggeration to state that the Dems are running their B-team right now.

One guess I will take is that the initial Harris hype generated was to bring the campaign lots of cash to possibly float through PACs to important races down ballot, specifically the TX Senate race with Ted Cruz, and the AZ race with Kari Lake. If the Dems can't keep the WH, they want to keep a majority in the Senate.

The problem I see is that Walz is every bit as liberal and awful as previous posts have described, but he comes off as just some folksy moderate that wants to get along. It's BS, but a lot of people fall for it.

These postings are a real eye-opener. Obviously, the MSM overlooked Walz's driving and military records. I suspect a reason he was chosen as the VP candidate was his potential appeal to senior citizens. What I cannot fathom is why the people of Minnesota even voted him into office--apparently twice, to Congress and then as Governor. Of course, given his blowing through an enormous budget surplus will likely result in much higher taxes going forward for those voters.

Didn't Minnesota once vote into the Governorship....Jesse Ventura?
So no real surprise Walz got elected.

The Jesse years actually weren’t too bad compared to the democrat years. His speeches were kind of cringe worthy, but that’s true with Trump at times, too.
