More dishonest Dems. No surprise.

Voter ID advocates aren't the problem. Getting those laws through judicial challenges in front of left wing socialist judges is.

1. The punishment doesn't fit the crime. He should be doing real time for trying to negate the votes of Americans.

2. Most of these kids can't apply for college without their guidance counselor helping them. It's unlikely he would be clever enough to think of this on his own, let alone know how to do it. I'm guessing he was trained by others in the organization but we'll never know because the authorities probably closed the book on this without investigating the rest of the organization.

He was sentenced to the maximum for his crime. Would you rather he received only probation? He got the maximum allowable.

This.

He submitted falsified registrations, they never even got to the point where false votes were cast. Those two are not equal, even though one is required before the other...

I am in full accord with all of SapperSteel's list of recommendations. I don't know if they would solve the problem, but they'd go a long way toward that goal. I think #s 11, 14, and 15 are particularly essential.

So if I rob a bank, but the money bag they give me doesn't actually have money, it's not bank robbery?

I have to wonder, those involved with voter fraud, do they believe the ends justify the means?? That their dishonesty will serve the greater good?? Or is their dishonesty an effort to gain power, and money that usually attends power?

He's already been selected by the prison football team. They're going to make a wide receiver out of him.

Mark Levin said it well when he stated that conservatives believe there are moral absolutes, while liberals believe in situational ethics. In their world, the end does justify the means. This is a common theme among totalitarians.

Four months isn't nothing. But I wish it were longer. Perhaps making it a Federal crime with serious time is in order.

I signed up with TrueTheVote.org. I donate a small amount of money from time to time. https://truethevote.org/

The woman who runs it, Catherine Engelbrecht, was trying to rectify some of these problems. During the run up to the last election the IRS was going after her with trumped up charges. TTV went after the IRS in court and won.

Sounds correct. And often totalitarians serve only themselves under the promise of serving the needs of the people.

Some of each, I think. This particular kid is (was) almost certainly not in a position to acquire any power through his actions, nor probably are those who told him how to do it. They all probably are true believers in the Dem philosophy that they the enlightened ones know better than the rest of us dumb savages, what's best for us. Somewhere up that chain of organization though, yeah I'm sure there's someone who views it all as a means to gain or retain power.

Andrew Spieles

senior political science major

member of the Virginia Young Democrats

https://virginiahouse.gop/2016...vestigation-ongoing/

At the time, Spieles was working with Harrisonburg Votes, a Democratic organization that fired Spieles from his $350-a-week job after learning of his activity.

The statement of facts says that while Spieles was working for the group, he “reported to the Democratic Campaign headquarters in Harrisonburg.”

http://www.fredericksburg.com/...cb-868b1618ff94.html

His letter to Obama: 20 Jan 2017

Dear Mr. President,
Thank you. Over the past eight years, you have created change in ways that once seemed impossible. You took office in the midst of an economic crisis that you didn’t create, two wars that no one wanted, and a country seemingly more divided than ever. You stood on the steps of the Capitol and looked out onto an America that needed you more than it understood at the time. With a calm voice and a steady hand, you reminded us that America had been down before, but every single time we rose to the occasion and this time would be no different.

With grace, dignity, and respect, you worked relentlessly to help create an America that we could all be proud of. You cut the spending deficit in half, lowered the unemployment rate to the lowest it has been since 2006, and we are in the middle of the longest streak of consecutive months of job growth in our nation’s history. Thanks to your leadership, marriage equality is the law of the land and 20 million more Americans have health insurance than before you took office. And because of you, Mr. President, my little brother can no longer be refused health insurance for having a pre-existing condition. That is your legacy to me: A man who was met with pushback at every turn, who never stopped, never settled, and was never discouraged. You are leaving behind a safer, more accepting, and more free nation than you inherited.

I was in 8th grade when you were elected, so I essentially grew up with you as my President. I had my first kiss, got my driver’s license, graduated high school, and am now a senior in college. These past eight years were not always easy, but, especially during my collegiate years, whenever I faced hardships or incredibly trying times, I looked to you for motivation. I looked to how you carried yourself under amounts of stress that no average citizen could ever imagine. You are the reason I believe in the good of all people, and you are the reason that I want to commit my life to public service.

You often say that it has been the honor of your lifetime to serve as our President. Well, sir, it has been the honor of my lifetime to call you my President. You held the office with the dignity that it deserves, and you made all of us proud. Now it is our turn to make you proud.
So, on behalf of a sometimes ungrateful nation, thank you for everything, Mr. President.
Your fellow American,
Andrew S.
