Gun Belts who do you like?
Yet another upvote for Beltman. I have 5 in various widths and materials. Love them.

SOE Rigid Cobra with velcro liner.

https://www.originalsoegear.co...liner-sizes-26-to-60

I've never seen it recommended here but it's a great belt. They are RIGID, can be used as is or with an under belt, there is enough adjustment to do both. I've two of them and I love them.
One minus (for some) is that you have to take one side of the cobra buckle off to put the belt through pants loops but it's easily done and no bother for me.

I have both Armour and Beltman. The Armour belt is noticeably stiffer than my Beltman belt. My P365 wobbles a bit when using the Beltman belt. Almost no wobble at all with my Armour belt.

I bought a ranger belt from Forest Hill Leather Craft. It's really nice but it's super thick with the double leather at the buckle. It's too thick for the slots on many holsters.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

My review from June - 1791 Gunleather belt It has been satisfactory. A replacement for my 2006-vintage Beltman, which has been outstanding, but unfortunately got too short.

I have leather from Milt Sparks and Beltman that are excellent. Lately I'm wearing a Wilderness Tactical EDC on the daily. The EDC is preferred over the heavy buckle on the Instructor belt. Hunter Constantine works well for what it was designed for, AIWB. If I get around to a clean out, the Ares Gear will get listed in the classifieds.

I have a matching belt & holster for my P220 and 2nd matching set for my P239 made by Rafter S. I used to enjoy talking to Della and her husband at the Dallas gun shows 20 years ago, and they made quality stuff!

Beltman is my go to for leather nowadays also.

I’m an Armour belt man myself. Mike’s belt has been all I could ask for. I recently lost some weight and ordered another. Quality workmanship.

Yeah, I liked Rafter. Della and Steve divorced and Della got the company. But she died in a car crash in 2013 and he posted on another gun forum he was taking it back over but I haven't seen any ads to that effect.

Same here. My first gun belt was a Rafter S. It held up to 10 years of daily use before it finally started showing it's age. Even then, if I hadn't lost a bunch of weight I probably would have gotten a few more years out of it.

I replaced it with a Beltman that I absolutely love. I got one with the internal stiffener, and it supports even the heaviest guns very well. It's over 5 years in and still looks great.

Both of mine have been plain black bullhide, but they have a lot of fancier options as well

I've read several belt threads on SF, and it caused me to buy one from R Grizzle. I haven't put a holster on it yet so maybe I'm not qualified to give a full testimonial, but it is very nice. I suspect it is equal to the best of them. It took about 3-1/2 months to get.

Have only bought holsters from Ryan, but he does amazing work and while I wish the wait was shorter his quality is worth every minute of the wait.

in 2004 I got a milt sparks belt that I used every day untill 2019 when I switched to Kore. I still have the belt and with some shoe polish it looks great.

If it has to be a thick leather gun belt I always recommend Milt Sparks but if it can be a gun belt with no specific requirements I recommend Kore.

The kore with kydex interior will not fold over, is light weight, looks good and nothing beats ratchet buckle for comfort and ease of use.

I have been wearing an RGrizzle belt for 13 years. Black elephant on calfskin with an internal stiffener. It’s still in excellent shape and looks new. This is worn almost daily.

I actually just logged on to leave a review of my Gun Belt.

R Grizzle Leather

R. Grizzle leather

I'm a big guy, 40" waist, 240lbs on a light day. To say that I am rough on my clothing, belts, and shoes would be a dramatic understatement.

I purchased a 1.5" leather belt from Ryan in 2009, and have worn it daily for the last 16 years. That would be somewhere between 5,500 and 6,000 days of use. It has been the best belt I have ever owned. I don't hang gear/equipment on it very often. When I do it, it is a work pouch, hammer, tools etc. I can say the belt has taken a licking and kept on ticking. In all that time, I did nothing to preserve/protect the leather (my bad).

I ordered a new one last week. Mine finally started to fail; the leather that folds over and holds the bar in place failed on one side. The other half of it is still going strong, and I'm still wearing it daily, but not hanging anything on it.

I also have an IWB holster he made, and it is also Outstanding.

At one point, Ryan was a member here and may still be.

After blowing out 2 Armour belts, I realized my lifestyle doesn't allow me to have nice things and they are nice.

Kore has been idiot proof for me.

Those Beltman belts look outstanding. I would love to get one except over 1/4 inch thickness assuming a stiffener, that's a little thick for my liking.

I have one of these that I had to convert into a HD workbelt when hanging tools with suspenders, because it was too long after losing 55 lbs.

It's a 5.11 belt with an internal stiffener. It's nowhere near the quality of a Beltman and the like, but it's THIN, and very stiff for holding up full size and larger OWB compacts. I prefer OWB and this belt is the only one that ever worked for me without any issues. I still had to supplement them with suspenders, but only so I could wear the belt with enough room to breathe while walking around town etc.

https://www.atlantictactical.c...tweave-leather-belt/

I think I'll see if I can find one locally, since the sizing info from 5.11 sucks, notwithstanding the 2+ inch rule over normal waist pant size for OWB rigs.

Armour for me. I don’t know how some people wear a belt for 5+ years, my belts deform where the holster is and starts to sag after 2 years and I order a new one.
