Got it handled. I installed thunderbird on both devices. And set his email up on both with IMAP. Now both machines look exactly the same when he checks email. He going to call the bank and try to get his money back on the MS account. If he can’t get that done, He’ll, I’ll give him the $70 since it was really on me. I’m just glad to have it done. Until the next cal… Oh, and I made copious notes, and dated them. And kept a copy for me.  | |||

In my case, with TB, they stopped supporting TB entirely as an insecure app. I have always used TB to access my GMail account, going back to when I dropped Eudora. No POP3, no submission, without 2FA and an app specific password. I glanced at a notice in troubleshooting it that the final lockout was May 31st. When in doubt, mumble | |||

Is this happening with an older version of TB? I had no issues with the version I downloaded for this guy. And I haven’t had any issues with my version. | |||

My company is switching from desktop/laptop based versions of MS Office to 365. The biggest issue is the old Company controlled Outlook servers had unlimited mail storage. The new online version is very limited and people are having to back up and clean up daily. Its a really pain in the butt. The other thing I don’t like is if you are working on a laptop and at a client’s office or field location where there is no internet service, you cannot use MS Office at all. This is a big step backwards in usability for us. Why did we do it? Money of course. + | |||

Sound like your company may not have the right version or the previous premise server was out of control. https://www.microsoft.com/en-u...5-business-products# Limits in O365 Business is 50GB - should be plenty for just about anyone. It wasn't that long ago the entire MB Store of Exchange on premise was that, let alone one MB. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-...ilbox-storage-limits You shouldn't have MB issues and if anyone needs the full program you can easily convert the license to include those for a little more. I use an older version, 68.12.1. Automatic POP3 checking for mail still worked, but not when checking was manually invoked. Sending stopped working. Perhaps having 2FA enabled is all one needs, without the app-specific password. I did not try that. Do you have 2FA enabled for Google logins? When in doubt, mumble | |||
