I graduated from The Marine Corps' Basic Officer Infantry School, which is the first step for all Marine officers, with orders in hand to report to Tank Officer School and following completion to proceed to sunny south east Asia to participate in the then ongoing unpleasantness.

You were about 7 weeks ahead of me. But I graduated from Infantry Officers Candidate School Jan 10 1968 at Ft Benning. When I reported to XVIII Airborne at FT Bragg the first words were "jump school next week or do you want to wait another week to go back to Ft Benning".
