Patriot Life member here. So totally eligible to vote.

I called and found out what happened. There was a mixup when someone with a similar name to me called to change their address. They ended up changing the address on my membership late last year to some address in MT.

That explains why all my mail from them stopped.

but it gets worse, the e-mail address, user name, security questions and even phone number were changed. Everything.

So to make a long story short, they said my ballot went to some address in MT, and another can't be issued.

I'm not real happy about it, but that's what happened. Oh well.

I really wanted to vote this time too.

The problem I see going forward is someone in MT ended up with my membership number, and I don't see what would keep him from changing it back again. I better hang on to these old American Rifleman magazines from the early 2000's that associate the member number to me. That way I have at least some proof that the member number in question really belonged to me.

I would suggest that you email Amanda and see if what you were told over the phone from NRA HQ is gospel.
Email your phone number to Amanda and ask her to call you.
A special "security" question/answer should be added for your NRA Membership number, that only you can answer.

I've also had an issue with this year's ballot. I've been a member for many years, and there was no ballot in my February issue of "American Rifleman." Further, there was no indication that any ballot was ever in the center of the magazine. I called Member Services, and interestingly, the number is answered by someone at Infocision, the outfit that does all the NRA's paid solicitation, so the NRA apparently contracts customer service out. The rep told me that I must mail my copy of the magazine BACK to the NRA, and a decision would be made about whether I'd be provided a ballot. I understand that they presumably want to guard against voter fraud, but I'm not sure what this would prove, and I don't plan on going out of my way to mail a magazine back to the NRA, so I guess I won't be voting. I've sent two emails to them, with no response about the issue.

Did you email Amanda and tell her there appears to be an issue with a missing ballot?
I can't think of a better resource for a voting NRA Member, than an active NRA BOD Member that is actively working hard for changes within the NRA.
If you are not mailing the magazine back to the NRA, and not voting, you are effectively OK with the NRA leadership that neglected the Membership & Organization in the first place.

Amanda here -

the story that it went to Montana and therr is nothing they can do.... does not sound legit.

Call HQ again and ask for john Frazer. tell him the story you got, and get the info directly from him.

There was some mis-info coming out of the call center. Think we got it fixed, but don't really know till we explore every option.

Many thanks cee_Kamp, HRK, and Amanda. Without your help and input I would have tossed my ballot in the trash, as I've done so many years in the past because I had no clue as to who was a lackey of WLP and who wasn't.

I voted for the names on p.3 of this thread - as well as the write-ins - and will mail my ballot today.

Thank you again for taking the time to inform and advise!

Bump for voting members. Please note the list of reform candidates on page 3 of this thread.

Ballots must be received by 4/6/2025, which strangely enough is a Sunday. Regardless, get them in the mail NLT the end of the month.

Up again for voting NRA Members. About ten days remaining for flushing the toilet!
We now have another thread in the Lounge for a "competing" set of NRA BOD candidates. The set "approved" by Bob Barr. That's a strong HELL NO!
Any NRA Executive, Any NRA Staffer, Any NRA BOD Member that was part of the very ugly and public debacle where WLP and others robbed the Association of Membership funds, NEEDS to be ejected!
At least to me, the Bob Barr "endorsed candidates" list looks like more of the same old feces.
How do you get rid of the "smell" of feces?
You get rid of the feces!

I voted, first time in a number of years. I also got my wife a Life Membership since I said I would when WP was gone. I prolly should have waited till the election was over, but, out of sight, out of mind.

I even gave 'em a ittle money which I wouldn't do after WP became such a spectacle.

Up one more time for voting NRA Members.
Depending on where you live in the USA, and the slothful performance of the USPS system, you have only a few days remaining for mailing out your NRA BOD Election Ballot.
The deadline for your ballot being received is: 04/06/2025
