Stupid hurts, it's always groups of sport bikes that run in packs and do crazy shit, in this case, run from the cops.

Local Volusia Sheriff lights them up, they run, only the lead rider decided to flip off the cop as he ran a red light and met Mr. Karma driving a pickup.

He's riding with his posse, will they decide that is the warning sign, stop and check on him? Hell no, they decided it's go time and it allows them to escape, so much for da brotherhood..

A shame he couldn’t have been a contestant in the pavement temperature challenge.

This is such a repeatable story.

1. Motorcyclist does something stupid (read illegal) in front of police
2. Officer initiates a stop
3. Rider(s) run, often baiting/mocking officers
4. Accident occurs, almost always rider's fault
5. Rider is now the 'victim' and it's the fault of the police as he/she wasn't doing anything
6. Rider wonders why police aren't very sympathetic

Oh, hell, no.

Why would you wish that on the innocent truck driver?

100% chance the bike was uninsured and now the truck driver is responsible.

No uninsured motorist fund (UMF) in Georgia?

Virginia has one that paid me for the first new car I bought. That car was totaled by an uninsured schizophrenic who hit me doing 80 mph (I was stopped) in the midst of a major break with reality.

His schizophrenia episode on December 9, 1982, was caused by well-known anti-nuke, anti-war activist Norman Mayer, who had parked a van next to the Washington Monument and threatened to detonate 1,000 pounds of TNT loaded in that van unless there was an immediate "national dialogue" (God I hate that phrase) on the threat posed by nuclear weapons. In a strange coincidence, Mayer was shot and killed by a US Park Police officer I knew professionally.

The guy that hit me was driving insanely (literally) because he believed he had to get to a particular intersection in Fairfax, VA by 8 pm in order to stop a nuclear war. He was not drunk or on drugs, in fact, the only thing found in his Camaro was a large analog clock wedged between the steering column and the dashboard.

He was uninsured (insurance or payment of a stiff fee to the UMF is required in Virginia) and that meant I could make a claim. In the end, after covering the minor medical expenses of those in my car, the UMF paid me $500 more(!) than I had in the car at the time!

Ya know when your kids were little and you tried to warn them to watch were they were going before the crashed into something? Well, what we have here is a slow learner. Not a single word that came out of his mouth helped his case.

“I was with a group and we were being chased by twelve cops, what was I supposed to do?” Cop, “Um, stop and find out what we lit you up for?”

"Ow, ow, my leg, my leg, I can’t move!” Right after running/sprinting from the crash site and cops.
