I'm going to go with the recommendation of using non-powered speakers and a separate amp. With only the low-voltage speaker wire exposed to the elements, it should be safer than running power cords. And you will have more choice of speakers made specifically for outdoor use. Mount them up high, as long as you don't have kids turn the volume way up and blow the woofers (as at my rental vacation home) you should never have to touch the speakers. _________________________ “Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters. –Daniel Webster (1782-1852)" | |||
