oddballWent looking at furniture today, now watching Ice Station Zebra that I DVR'd earlier. We're having queso & chips, chili, beer, sausages, but not watching the Loser Dog & Pony Show for the BLM league.

thundersonI bought a new video camera. Certainly not high end but it has a lot of cool features and is capable of taking stills. Since I haven't messed with anything besides point an shoot since I had an old Yashica in high school I'm busy today climbing that learning curve.

Hell On Wheels. I think we're going to have to take a detour tonight.

Ditto.
And I may not ever find out. I think I'm about done wasting my time with the crap that passes for "news" on TV.

mark_aStarted a ton of seedlings this evening. Every day I take another step to be a bit more self sufficient. Every day the things I used to think important reveal themselves to be a successfully ignored distraction.

I watched Altered Carbon too. Pornographically hyper-violent and hyper-sexual, Mind blowing, thought provoking plot twists. Wow! Incredible show......
Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

slosigShooting and cleaning guns. (No idea what time the game is/was). My son’s best friend and his dad came over and brought a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 Magnum, an Argentinian 1911, and an over and under 20 gauge. My son brought the 870 12 gauge, I brought a model 28, and my daughter took her M&P22. The daughter stuck with the 22 and everyone else shot everything else. It was a good giggle. After they left, we picked up brass, did a little range maintenance, then came back up to the house and cleaned the guns we shot today and the P229R 9mm that my son shot the other day and hadn’t gotten around to cleaning. Good fun was had by all. I’ll take that over watching football any day!

roustaboutThe BLM bowl interests me not in the least. There were much more productive things to do around here. Instead of watching that nonsense, I worked on the tractor, got some snakeshot loads finished, and shot the CZ75 SP-01

egregoreAfter seeing the riots in Philly after the win, I'm
really glad I didn't watch it. Stupid trash.

It would be an insult to animals to call them that. I hope insurance for the overturned cars and busted windows covers their owners in case of an insurrection or riot.

On
Fox & Friends this morning (for background noise) I heard no one did, and that singer Pink did a good job with the anthem. I don't like her music but she is a decent singer.

There weren't any riots, but I'm glad you felt the need to take a shot at Eagles fans. One idiot ate horse crap off the street and a bunch of drunk millennials went nuts in a WaWa out of hundreds of thousands of people in the streets. I was watching the NBC Philadelphia live stream until 3 AM their time and the worst that happened was some fireworks. Compared to most cities after a historic win it was mild at best.

RAMIUSYeah, riot reports are overblown.
Yes, there were some drunk idiots doing stupid shit. But I can tell you first hand that it really wasn't the apocalyptic version shown on social media. For the most part, it was mostly people celebrating in the streets.
Still shouldn't happen though. Canada and Europe is the gold standard for violent sports riots.
