He died on Sunday, May 26, 2019.

He was 83, and died after his heart disease took a turn for the worse about eight weeks ago. Luckily, he didn't linger, and died quietly at home.

He was a Marine, and worked in the oil business for his whole career after being the first college graduate in his family. He was a singer and a performer as well - a talented amateur musician. He and my mother missed their 60th anniversary by just 4 days.

He was a great father, and the sort of man about whom everyone had a good word. Everyone liked him, truly.

We will miss him.
