...until (I'm guessing) some neighborhood youths practiced making anagrams with grandma's magnetic letters. At least they're literate.

All those holiday parties…over indulgence…too much drinking…

Yup, that’s what you get.

Not gonna lie, this made my day.

It reminds me of a Christmas many year ago. My mom had decorated for the holidays. This included a set of needlepoint boxes that look like gifts that were made by my grandmother. Each box had a letter on it: N-O-E-L. While in town visiting, my sister's husband quietly reversed them to L-E-O-N. My mom was irritated and put them back. So my B-I-L reversed them again. This continued during the day with my mom growing more irritated over time, especially when no one would fess up to it. All the while, we just smiled quietly as it unfolded. Mom was so rigid about some things that she just couldn't understand the humor of the situation.

She passed away nearly 29 years ago and there were two sets of these needlepoint decorations so my sister and I each got one. The other set had been my grandmother's personal set. Ever since then, with a smile and a wink, we have proudly displayed our L-E-O-N boxes every Christmas. My wife even had a set made for our daughter a few years ago so she could join in the tradition without having to wait for us to kick the bucket.

Good, solid (creamy?!?) neighborhood fun...
