architectHappy Mardi Gras!! Best people watching spectacle the year
How come the chicks who go topless are never the ones you want to see topless? One of the great mysteries of life.

GT-40DOCI made it to Mardi Gras for many, many years in a row. NOLA is one of my favorite places, and I lived down there for a while.

casThe cams are fun, it's nice to see people out and about looking at their phones as opposed them looking at their phones where they normally do.

parallelI spent Fat Tuesday under my tundra trying to replace the struts, shocks, upper and lower ball joints, brake rotors and pads. Didn't even come close to finishing all of that. It's a good thing that I don't have to go back to work until Monday. We did partake in some of the river parishes parades, so i haven't been a complete stick in the mud.

flashguyI originally wondered who the "best people" were who were watching the melee. Then I rethought the sentence.

SigSACNOPD has had staffing issues the last few years. They called other agencies for help for Mardi Gras. Officers from at least 20 agencies were in town to help.

Fly-SigLots of police presence along the parades, plus helicopters overhead. EMS was very visible too.
