4MUL8RWrapping presents and came to a new rule for xmas...
I like the rule. But even trying many years to abide by it, I break it. I think my “love language” (for the those of you who don’t read marriage counseling books, there are five love languages), is gift giving. This year we still have about three dozen wrapped presents under the tree for the four of us.

arfmelI kind of like getting something I want and can use, instead of something somebody else didn't want. And I much prefer to know what family members would like. So I'm ok with lists or suggestions.
My sister and I send each other a hundred bucks every Christmas. It works out perfectly.

SigJacketConsumables. Bottle of wine, a good Hickory Farms pack, homemade cookies, etc... tasty, gone later, no extra stuff.
Aaaand, now I’m hungry.

BB61We cut way back on the amount spent this year and the kids were just as happy and stress was x way down. One son, for example was ecstatic for a book on Star Wars origami.
