Just searched it and you are correct.

Anyone have any use for it?

I can make use of it. I sold mine about 6 years ago, and have regretted doing so on more than one occasion when a portable vise would have saved a lot of labor.

Neat! I'd have a use for it, executing kitchen table luthier projects.

I have one, have rarely used it. Recently saw a video of a British woodworker, Peter Parfitt, who has a YouTube Channel “The New Brit Workshop”.
He considers them extremely useful for woodworking, but apparently hard to come by now.
Yes, I bought mine at a Cal Expo home show probably 30 years ago; it’s in fine shape and I look forward to using it now that I am finally getting a decent workshop in order.

BTW it’s cast aluminum, so it will actually buff out nicely. Wink

WOW. I forgot I have one. I was in upstate NY in the Navy back in 1976. Went to the state fair and bought the entire kit. I still have in the box. Pretty handy and have used about a dozen times.

Wow, an NIB Swiss aluminum-frame vise! Keep it in the safe, man! You don’t want any marks on the faces! Lucky bastard.
