The NEA (a teachers' organization) will vote shortly on requiring every child to be vaccinated and tested for COVID 19 before returning to school next year. THIS IS AN ABSURD MANDATE AND THREAT TO YOU AND YOUR CHILD'S LIBERTY. The NEA has no standing within the scientific and medical communities and is simply trying to control you and your children. 1. OPPOSE THE NEA in all of it's efforts until they demonstrate that they have your child's best interests in mind. 2. Oppose mandatory vaccinations for ANY GROUP. This is still an "experimental" vaccine and has not been fully approve by the FDA. (Not that their approval should give you any comfort.) There is some evidence that the vaccines may have harmful side effects in younger persons. (Again, don't trust the FDA to tell you this.) 3. Oppose masking school children. There is growing evidence that masks elevate CO2 levels to dangerous concentrations almost immediately in children. Refuse to subject your kids to the "health theater". Fight for your children's well-being. If teachers are afraid to teach, DO NOT PAY THEM. Let them tremble in fear at home on their own dime. SOURCE: FNC this AM. Solution: Stop sending your children to public schools. They almost universally suck, anyway. Send them to a private school or home school them. I was once a big supporter of the public education system. These days I'd stop paying the taxes that go toward public "education" if I could. "America is at that awkward stage. Well the good thing is, the NEA can mandate all they want, but the school board is who will make that decision. This board member will tell NEA to pound sand if they try to pull that crap here. Thankfully, I’m pretty sure the rest of our board feels the same.

I wonder if they require all their members be vaccinated prior to the next school year. Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed. Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists. Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

Doubtful. That would infringe on their freedom. RMDThis message has been edited. I'd be good with going straight to lobotomies for all of their members. They'd all drool uniformly, at least.

I'm as anti union as can be but keep in mind that not all the union members hold the beliefs of the leadership. _____________________ Be careful what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you.

Given the state of our "education" system, one might reasonably be excused for believing such is already the case. "America is at that awkward stage. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Here's a PDF list of all the immunizations that are already required for students in Arizona: https://www.azdhs.gov/document...ion-requirements.pdf

Huge difference. The vaccines in your link have been around for years and have a large sample size with which to assess risk/benefit. They are, in a majority of individuals, safe. Not so much with the COVID vaccine, at least with respect to known long term effectiveness and safety.

Reason # 2,489 why my children WILL NEVER darken the doorway of a public school. My six-year-old is doing homeschooling, and is thriving and is already ahead of his peers as far as what he is learning and retaining. He goes to a co-op once a week with a bunch of other homeschool kids and has a ball playing and having lunch and classes with them. Screw these teachers unions and screw public school. The NEA has no power to control policy making. They are voting to adopt this as a platform for their organization, which every sensible school board will reject outright. They can pass whatever resolution they want to -- in the fall my kids will be in school and they will not be vaccinated.

As I understand it, there is no approved vaccine for children under 12 right now. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

That's because the NEA has not told the CDC to order it yet. Give 'em time. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

Exactly. Only problem is, not every district has a sensible board, especially in more liberal areas of the country. This is why it is so important to become involved locally. Those on the forum that are anti public schools, run for your local board. Get involved and make a difference. We all want change and to keep liberal policies and ideologies from overtaking our schools, but some don’t seem to want to make a difference where it matters. I had a conversation about this very thing with my BIL a few weeks back. He lives in Columbia, MO. College town. Very liberal. He was complaining about some of the policies his local school district has, but when I suggested him running for the school board, he said no way. That is where change begins, at the local level.

I for one hope that the NEA vote is a resounding yes. Let’s do all that we can to encourage the members of the NEA to get as far out on that branch as possible. The cracking sound, in the form of parents choosing a different educational choice for their kids, will be glorious. Silent

Maybe parents will pull their kids out of Public Schools and Homeschool instead. That means fewer kids being indoctrinated with critical race theory and socialism. NRA Member _____________ Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. --Groucho Marx
