As of today, my wife and I have had 19 years married, 21 together.

Funny as it is to say, on THIS forum, it’s average, or lacking in years.

In society or around the people I spend time with regularly, it’s a lifetime.

I’m pretty happy and proud that Mia and I have put up with each others shit for this long. She’s my best friend, my partner in non-crime, and everything in between. After this many years with someone, you stop existing as a single person and you two are a unit. Many people wouldn’t understand this or call me a co-dependent pussy, but it’s something that I can honestly say they just wouldn’t understand. It’s a true gift to be married to the love of your life, your best friend, and your true other half.

Next year for our 20th, I plan to do something pretty effing special. I have some ideas of what she would really enjoy (going back to Korea to visit family) and I plan to fulfill those dreams.

When you have a drink this evening, no matter if it’s water, wine, whiskey, or anything in between, please raise a glass for us.

How many years have you been married, or happily single?

-Noah, and Mia (who never reads this)-

Congratulations!

I've now been divorced since 2009. I would't say happily single, but I haven't come across the right woman for me and suspect it might be getting a little late for me. Set in my ways and all...

I hope the celebration of your 20th is extra special and it sounds like it will be!

Congratulations good sir. It's very smart to do something big for your 20th, it's important in more ways than one might imagine, especially for the woman. God Bless you both.

Congratulations and happy anniversary.
Time does fly by.

My wife and I are celebrating 35 years married later this year.

My wife and I started dating when she was 14 and I was 16 and we have been together ever since for a total of over 40 years together.
The time goes by quickly.

Congrats on a happy marriage! And I think you've hit on a key reason for that, whether tongue-in-cheek or serious: Putting up with each other's shit.

Mrs. PHPaul and I passed the 50 year mark last New Year's Eve.

Congratulations on your 19th and best wishes for many more.

Mrs. ST and I dated for a little over a year and have married for 37 years since then. We did a trip to Paris for ten years and our first cruise for 20. Hope you and Mia come up with something special for your #20, too.

My wife and I will have been married for 44 years this October. We got engaged after knowing her for 1 week, married within 6 months, and happy ever since. 2 married sons, 3 grandkids. Most of our close friends have been married for similar lengths.
