About two years previous this band was known as The Scott Richard Case, pretty much a regional group. They did a version of “I’m So Glad” by Cream.

Ashba Addiction to the Friction is an entire instrumental album. I think it’s good, from ‘95.

Captain Morgan reminded me of Leo Kottke.
He did a dozen or more guitar musical numbers. But Is he considered R&R?

Leo would be considered folk, with a mishmash of other genre's mixed in.
I consider him a great player of the eclectic acoustic guitar.

Slightly off the rock and roll topic, but Blues was the basis of r&r.

ELP is one of my favorite bands. I would think most of there music is instrumental. Emerson has adapted many classical songs and they are fantastic in my opinion.

Elton John's "Funeral for a Friend" on the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album was really good. It was written to transition straight into "Love Lies Bleeding", so there wasn't a definite "end" to the song. Here are both...
"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24
