Im curious as to the 7 people in the poll that said “don’t vote”. I noticed they didn’t post that shit publicly.

This is one of if not the most important elections in US history. Is it incredibly important that you vote.

We are also going to be out of town, we will vote next week when early voting starts in GA. While my county may be RED my state is not. Plus this is kind of an important election wouldn't you say.

Not having the need for one, I don't know what, if any, time window exists for an absentee ballot application. I suspect you may be outside of it.

I echo the sentiments - go out there and make sure your voice is heard. Personally, I haven't missed an election since turning 18 and voting for President Buchannan (well, Ford, if I'm being honest).

Here, early voting is actually more convenient. Waiting would mean dealing with election-day lines at the one specific assigned polling location and dealing with whatever weather November wants to throw at us on the 5th.

OTOH, early voting lets registered voters pick a nice day and hit any of the six early-voting locations spread over the county and usually there are no lines. I'm voting as soon as the early voting options open up next week.

Whether you are in a red state or a blue state, we need every vote we can get up and down the ballot, not just for the federal, state, and local races but also to win the popular vote for president so the Democrats can't talk about Trump stealing the election or about it being yet another reason that we should eliminate the electoral college.

With some of the recent trends looking better, Walz has already said the EC needs to go. Though the Harris campaign has already walked that back, you know they'd use a Trump victory without a popular vote majority to beat that drum.

If you simply can NOT come to the polls on election day, but you CHOOSE not to vote early or absentee, in this election, that is to put it bluntly dereliction of duty.

Emergencies happen, so that is why everyone should vote early. Vote now, before you can't.

And pray to your God (or Gods) that Trump's margin of victory exceeds the Dem's margin of fraud.

For love of your country, your future and your fellow man, >>> VOTE <<<

God Bless and Protect the Once and Future President, Donald John Trump.

I could vote on election day but do early voting so I don't have to deal with the crowds.

You didn't mention if you'll be out of town for work, or not.

By law, your employer must allow you time off to vote. So, if you cannot vote before or after the trip, have the employer reschedule.

If the trip is personal, why are you scheduling it on Election Day? And when your wife is having surgery?

Do early voting. It’s not cheating.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
