Yes, it you shoot them 10 times. Most of the time, you are just pissing them off. Point blank would probably do the trick, or a least destroy their wings.

I'd say the pattern stays pretty tight from about 2-3 feet away. It starts to spread a bit after that. I'll shoot some tin foil at varying distances if I get the chance later.

I guess if you and some buddies re-enacted the scene from Predator, where they're blindly shooting into the woods. Not really messy though. I use it more in the garage and outside.

I've killed a wasp this morning. One shot stunned it, a few follow up shots finished it off. I'm pretty sure it'll kill a yellow jacket.

The only insect that has survived so far, was a large beetle with a shell. Might need to use the Himalayan sea salt next time.

I shot myself in the foot from about 2 feet away, and yes, it stings pretty good. I think the 3.0 could be classified as "high powered".

I've gotten very skilled slaughtering bugs around my house for the past 2 days. Feeling confident, might use this as a back up gun.

I know it's a bit pricey, but it's worth it in this case.

Maybe the early models were chincy? The 3.0 is very nicely built.

Not to laugh at your pain but the guy who gifted me mine specifically warned against shooting yourself in the foot.

And normally it takes 3 shots and a shoe...foot optional to kill wasps

Mutton chops would be more appropriate.

I've had mine since Christmas and it's so much fun I bought one for my neighbor just to spread the joy.

It's also helpful if you forget to salt a really nice NY strip before putting it on the grill last weekend (or so I've heard ...)

You have to stand on it and shoot a hole in the shell between your feet, then drop in a grenade and bail out.

There's a documentary on military channel or something.

Here's a photo of a brave mobile infantry trooper getting ready to use his Morita Assault Rifle against Bug forces during the First Bug War. The Morita Assault Rifle is a military variant of the Bug-A_Salt 3.0. The only real difference is that the Morita comes in full auto, as opposed to semi-auto only for civilians and the Bug-A-Salt 3.0 comes in pump action only.

Will it shoot coarsely ground black pepper, as a less than lethal ammunition?

Sometimes, a bug just needs to back off.

RAIMUS - have you tried the dove approach?

Lead them a little and hit them in-flight?

My niece gave me one (probably a 2.0?) for Christmas and it is a hoot! I’m now known as the “Cricket Hunter” as there was a crap ton of crickets And crane flies in the garage in our new home and my wife got a kick out of watching me “stalk” them in the garage. She won’t let me use it inside, though. With practice you can shoot the crane flies out of the air. Fun stuff!

I may have to upgrade.
