Bug-A-Salt 3.0...A Review Login/Join

For anyone who is tired of dealing with flies or any bugs invading their space, today I bring to you, the Bug-A-Salt 3.0.

This futuristic long barreled pistol comes with several upgrades that the 2.0 was lacking. Among them a partridge sight that greatly increases accuracy, a smoother, lighter trigger pull, and a cross bolt safety.

With the Bug-A-Salt 3.0, you no longer have to flail madly with whatever is around you to kill flies. With one quick pump and a pull of the trigger, a concentrated blast of salt is delivered both accurately and powerfully at the offending insect.

The Bug Assault 3.0 can also be used as a salt delivery device for your food and cooking needs. Who needs old fashioned salt shakers? During Sunday dinner, you can easily salt grandma's souffle accurately from across the table.

The Bug Assault 3.0 has a capacity of approximately 80 shots (using Morton's table salt), and also reliably feeds kosher salt, and even Himalayan Sea Salt. This versatility is a very welcome addition, since it allows the shooter to use different types of ammo, depending on the type of threat. So far, I've killed multiple house flies, and even a flying carpenter bee with just 1 shot of table salt. Follow up shots can be made in rapid secession in case you miss the first shot.

The gun feels extremely solidly built and has zero rattle, which is useful on those stealth missions around trash cans or wherever your enemy might be. The quality is apparent once you pick it up and it feels more like a tool, rather than a toy. I don't see this breaking and should hold up to any abuse you throw at it.

The only issues I had with the The Bug Assault 3.0 was that the the pistol grip and pump quickly became slippery as I blasted any insect that crossed my path on a hot summer evening. The grip issue was easily remedied with a few strips of sports tape, which really allowed for solid purchase of the molded grips. A Laser accessory is available from the manufacturer, however, a picatinny rail would have been a nice addition to add my own light and laser combo.

The MSRP runs approximatly $59.99, and is available on Amazon or the company website Bug-A-Salt Website . Killing bugs has never been so fun. (Please check your state firearm laws before purchase.) Holsters are available on Amazon.

Solidly built, fits great in the hand.

Easy loading. Approximatly 80 shot capacity.

Ammo I'm currently using.

Size Comparison with HK SP5

Added some grip tape to prevent slips.

Nice review. I'm not as fancy. I only have the 2.0 but it is silly amount of fun.

Nice right-up. I was thinking of buying one to use in my back yard on my patio.
I love the safety warning. "Do not shoot in face or eyes!"

Same, bought the 2.0 for my father in law and decided what the heck I’ll get myself as well. Well probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

I bought three for the Grandkids one Christmas.
All three were complete junk, straight in the trash. I don't know what version they were.

I forget the event but a couple of years ago when Mrs DF was due a gift, I asked her what she wanted. She said she wanted one of these bug-a-salt guns. At first I chuckled until I noticed she was serious. So much for a romantic gift. she wants to kill bugs at a distance. I bought her the then current tech 2.0 bug gun. She absolutely loves it.

I have the 2.0 also. It's been deadly on lantern fly nymphs this year.

This would probably fall within New Jersey's 2C:39-1 definition of a "firearm." I'm completely serious.

And, I need one anyway. Ramius, what's the patterning/effective range like on yours?

Haha, great review my friend! I have two of the 2.0's and love it. The sights do suck so I usually just free hand but that generally requires wounding them and then a kill shot.
