Who's being purged? Not the rioters. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

That behavior will continue until the cops are given the word to take off the gloves. But that won’t happen because the DAs won’t prosecute. It’s going to be a lot worse for a lot longer before The People are tired of the mayhem and remove the corrupt DAs who won’t follow the laws already on the books. Frankly, they get what they deserve. And they should suffer for their stupidity for continuing to elect democrat DAs. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. I've worried about that, especially during the summer of BLM. Our city council even stupidly approved a BLM mural on Main Street. Virtue signaling I suppose, but also inviting all the political divisiveness. Our town is very white, very wealthy, and generally over age 50. From the outside we would seem like a good target if someone wanted to stick it to the man. I continue to expect some form of widespread armed conflict, and I think it will start from non-government violence.

I believe this was the result of some online influencer promising a big prize giveaway. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/new...-to-contain/4565539/ Its funny this guy got all his free publicity but I did not hear about anyone actually getting anything from the giveaway.

These guys are low-level celebs, with low-level 'fans'. Like Travis Scott, these clowns say all sorts of things for attention, tell the crowds to tear down barricades or, start chanting F-the police...'cause you know, cred; then the chaos starts, again low-level fans. People get hurt or worse then, the celeb is shocked, then a few out of court settlements.

Perhaps people who disagree with you don't have our head in the sand, but realize that not everywhere is lost. Don't see it happening here in Las Vegas, either; the Casinos here would not allow it as it would affect their income/profit. I suspect they have SIGNIFICANT power/pull regarding the politicos here...

There ARE areas of Harris County that don't go for this crap...just gotta get away from City of Houston proper. I'm just inside the far North Northwest Harris County border a little south of 99. I can guarantee the Sheriff, Constables, and local PD wouldn't hesitate one minute to issue righteous justice for asshats trying to start some BS. If memory serves, though, I thought I saw on the news a couple of years ago where there were some BLM or ANTIFA idiots trying to start some riotous activity in Houston. HPD came down on them swiftly and harshly without prejudice. So who knows what orders Sylvester Turner is handing out these days... "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Portland behavior although Portland is way worse. Legal heroin, meth and that includes "small sales." The city is a filthy and dangerous. They have a "progressive DA" which means the DA is an active criminal defense lawyer assisting the criminal with his/her predicament having been caught. And it's going to get worse. The state legislature, with a supermajority of hard-core progressive democrats, with the guiding hand of the nutty governor are in the process of legalizing prostitution. Sodom and Gomorrah circa 2023. Wonder what idiotic idea the goofballs will come up with next? U.S. Army 11F4P Vietnam 69-70 NRA Life Member

Good example of a few miles making a big difference. However, your city PD may arrest them, but will still have Kim Ogg's, Soros funded DA, office coddling the criminal. She's more likely to prosecute the police than the criminal. HPD's union President is routinely on the news railing on Ogg and her misguided office. My buddy is a Harris County Sheriff Deputy and says Sheriff's office is beyond frustrated with Ogg as well. That must've been old. My memory of the last one is Mayor Turner marched with them. https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2...s-and-danger-n569385 In 2018, “justice reform” activists in New York State had one of their wishes granted when the state enacted a disastrous “Raise the Age” (RTA) law. Democrats did this over the loud objections of badly outnumbered Republicans and conservatives. What the law did over a period of two years was increase the age of criminal liability for all defendants to 18, eliminating the option of trying the most violent juvenile defendants as adults. The results were totally predictable and the expected chaos quickly developed. It’s gotten bad enough that even some Democratic District Attorneys including Albany DA David Soares have been calling on the Governor and the legislature to repeal or at least revise the law. With all of the crime in New York City these days, it can be easy to lose track of who is doing what. But various places around New York State are running into the same problem that Chicago has been facing, with roving gangs of teenagers running wild and engaging in violent crime. And thanks to the way the juvenile justice system works, these teenagers know that they will almost always be immediately put back out on the streets. The result, as noted above has been a series of teen offenders who have gone through the system as many as three times in a single year, with some of them murdering people after they are released. Just in Albany County (well outside of New York City), 12 out of 18 teenagers charged with violent crimes were rearrested after they went on to do even worse. This has produced what DA Soares describes as “a system of normalized violence without consequences.” The family courts are not set up to deal with violent teen repeat offenders. What they wind up doing is “releasing troubled kids with underdeveloped minds and Glocks” back into the community to wreak more mayhem. To his credit, Soares is trying to use some of the typical language of his own party against them, not that he’s seeing much support. He’s pointing out who the people are that are ultimately paying the price for these policies. A vast majority of the teens being shot and sometimes killed are not rich white kids from Manhattan. They are Black and Hispanic teenagers from some of the poorest neighborhoods. And much like so many other urban issues, the reason is that those neighborhoods are where you find the most gang activity. Some of the injuries are cases of gang members shooting each other, but a lot of innocent people wind up being caught in the crossfire. Rather than “helping children,” what RTA actually did was teach teenagers who were already on a path toward violent crime that they could do nearly anything they liked and face no consequences.

Send them to Marine boot camp, except that if you graduate, you can't join the USMC, you get points the judge can use to lessen a sentence after a period of normal (human) behavior. For most of these guys, they are too far gone past the point of no return. Their brains and psyche are so full of shit and evil there's nothing to do except permanent separation or retirement from civil society. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E.
