Weirdo question- I never click on the thread title. I always click on the last member that posts in the thread or the page numbers. And I have always done it that way. Something about having red and green thread titles bothers me on a phone. Anyone else have this ritual?

I've never noticed a change in thread title colors and I always click the title since that automatically takes me to the first unread post; however, something I've always wondered about but never found truly important enough to get worked up about is the fact that clicking a thread and then returning to the forum by clicking the links at the top or bottom of the page doesn't seem to update the thread status (the light bulb) to show they've been viewed, as happens on other forums. I'm kind of opposite. If it's a thread I haven't read yet, I will often click on the last member who posted. If said thread is one I'm interested in following, I will go back and click on the thread title so it shows in red. You can jump to the first new post? I've never had it do that before. The Enemy's gate is down.

For the most part I click on the thread title so I see it from the start. If I have viewed it already and there are new posts, then I will do as you do and click on the recent poster. To each his own. NRA Benefactor Life Member

I click on the thread title.I like to read from the beginning. If someone asks for advice and I have information to contribute, I want to make sure it has not already been covered. I also like to start from the beginning when I can so I do not miss anything. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. What are these red and green thread titles you are referring to? My thread titles are always black be it on my phone, tablets, or desktop. But I always click on the thread title. If there is a thread the I have been reading and I know it will likely have some traction I just keep it open in a tab refresh and pick up where I left off. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. I click the title if it's a new thread for me, otherwise, click the last page and then page back to where I left off.

So strange that I never knew the color changed. I’m slightly color blind. I went back and looked and sure enough they are red. But it’s so slight a difference to me I never noticed. That’s on my phone at least. I’ll check computer soon. These go to eleven.

What is this magic of which you speak? Clicking on the thread title always brings me to the very first post.

Same for me. I also just checked my computer and the red read threads are there but I honestly never noticed as it is so subtle. It's much more obvious in the screen shot in this thread. These go to eleven.

If you look at the last post column, and then click on that persons name, it goes to the last post made in the thread. Try it.. _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! I click on the titles because I like the ability to, at a glance, see what threads I've been in or not without having the tape drive in my head whirring around trying to access that data. ------------- $

Thank you Very little |
Same here phone or pc, threads are Red for "having read"e, once you are in the thread, any page that is red you've been on, if it's green or black ie not red, you've not been on that page.
I too wonder about the icons, they don't seem to reset all the time, some of the light bulbs are on, I read that thread, and they don't always turn off. Same for the House and Tree, a painted or color house and tree mean new posts/threads, Grey mean no new threads, but it's not always correct, since the Light bulb for new posts isn't always right. But to answer the op question, I click on the thread title and scroll through, trying to not miss a comment that my post would end up being a repeat of others. Wonder if a lot of folks click last topic and then post, and it's why you see so many similar responses as were made prior in the thread, they aren't seeing them..

I’m an odd duck. I do 2 things. First, I look at the thread title and then I look to see if para has paid the thread a visit and his thoughts.
