Listening to Barr testify, it was fascinating how he turned Feinstein's out of context question around and made her sound like a Stooge.

She is totally out of her league with him.

Old football adage: The best defense is a good offense. Barr needs to start going after the coup traitors, and that will shut down the otherwise endless death by a thousand cuts.

Yeah, I'm watching it. My summary:

Democrat: Why didn't you do it the way I would have?!?!?!? Why didn't you do it in the worst possible way for Trump?!?!?!?
Barr: I didn't have to do it that way and I don't think there was obstruction because there was no underlying crime.
Republican: This was spying and unprecedented!!!!
Barr: Correct, that's why I'm looking into it now. I'll report back.
Trump: <sitting somewhere with a huge grin on his face>
Republican: Weren't Mueller's investigators super duper good?
Barr: Yes.
Republican: and did they say they had enough evidence to prosecute a case?
Barr: No.

That's basically what is happening over and over.

Lol Bama, that's hilarious!

ETA, I forgot this one:

Democrat: Why did you exonerate Trump and let him take a victory lap?!?!?!?!?!?!? The report said it couldn't say there was obstruction, but it also said they couldn't say there wasn't obstruction either!?!?!?!?

Barr: I didn't exonerate him. I just said we didn't think the evidence supported obstruction. We have a presumption of innocence.

Democrat: you should resign/recuse yourself!!!!!!
Barr: No.

This is so stupid. I get it, democrats don't agree and want to see Trump hanged. This is just children crying they didn't get their way.

Wonder if the Dems will ever figure out it isn't smart to poke the Barr?

In Blumenthal’s second round of questioning, he asked Attorney General Bill Barr if he memorialized his telephone call with Robert Mueller on March 27th.

“Did you or anyone, either you, or anyone on your staff memorialize your conversation with Robert Mueller?” Blumenthal asked Barr.

“Yes,” replied Barr.

“There were notes taken of the call,” Barr said in response to Blumenthal asking who took the memos.

“May we have those notes?” Blumenthal asked.

“No,” Barr promptly replied.

“Why not?” Blumenthal shot back.

“Why should you have them?” Barr replied.

AG Barr is scheduled to testify tomorrow to the House Judiciary comm (Chrman Jerry Nadler)

Nadler plans to have staff lawyers also question Barr (in addition to elected congressional representatives)

Barr previously said this was not acceptable.

Waiting to see if Barr attends tomorrow.

What's the point in having the attorney's do the questioning? Barr is already under oath. Why don't the attorney's give the questions to and let the brainiacs like Nadler ask them?
Could it be that once Barr responds the brainiacs like Nadler aren't smart enough to pose a follow up question that that could actually challenge Barr in a intelligent and logical way?

Trump is colluding with the market economy to make himself look good....

Unexpectedly, April Payrolls Surge by 275,000, Shattering Expectations

The U.S. economy added far more jobs than expected in April as payrolls in the services sector grew by the most in more than two years, according to data released Wednesday by ADP and Moody’s Analytics.

Private payrolls grew by 275,000 last month, the biggest increase since July, when they expanded by 284,000. Economists polled by Dow Jones expected private payrolls growth of 177,000.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Pissed off enough to single handedly drain the swamp I hope, starting with Comey, Strozok and Paige and going up the ladder from there. The Dems are still trying to win the 2016 election that has been over for 2 1/2 years. Great strategy for 2020. Wink

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TO BEGIN DNA TESTING MIGRANTS TO CATCH ‘FRAUDULENT’ FAMILIES’

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will soon begin on-the-spot DNA testing of migrants apprehended at the southern border, officials said Wednesday.

The pilot program, which is expected to start as soon as the coming week, will take place at two different locations on the U.S.-Mexico border and last for several days. The so-called Rapid DNA test consists of a cheek swab that can yield results within 90 minutes. The DNA results will be used to verify whether apprehended migrants are telling the truth when they claim to be part of a family unit.

The program, officials noted, will be voluntary and the results are only used to verify familial relationships — not to prosecute immigrants who aren’t involved in smuggling.

“This is an unprecedented step forward in our investigative process and techniques,” a DHS officials said to reporters during a Wednesday conference call.

The upcoming pilot project comes as a surging number of “fraudulent families” are arriving at the U.S. southern border. Border Patrol identified more than 3,000 fake family cases in the past six months. DHS officials noted a 315 percent increase in the number of adults and children fraudulently posing as “family units” between October 2017 and February 2018.

The reason for lying, officials said, is because illegal aliens are aware of U.S. immigration laws and know they have a better chance of entering the country if they arrive as a family.

“It’s very clear that the cartel and smugglers know the weaknesses in our laws. They know that family units and unaccompanied children will be released with no consequences for their illegal entries,” acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan said during an April visit to the border.

The DNA tests are just the latest moves by border officials to crack down on family fraud and the child smuggling rings that are fueling it.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced it’s moving experts to the border to investigate child smuggling, and will be utilizing science data to “dismantle” the child trafficking rings employed by human smugglers working across Mexico and Central America.

“What we’re currently doing is surging resources from ICE’s Homeland Security investigations to the border. We’re sending human trafficking experts, document fraud experts, forensic interviewers, victim assistance specialists, because our first and primary goal is the safety and security of these children,” acting ICE Director Matthew Albence said Monday.

In addition to the DNA tests and resource allocations, Border Patrol agents are fingerprinting children 14 and younger upon apprehension — a change in previous policy as they fight child smuggling rings.

I don’t like this part, though: “The program, officials noted, will be voluntary”.

The lesson that I'm learning from all of this is that if one party loses the White House, but gains control of Congress, they have enough power to control or overthrow the President.

Is that what I'm seeing here? It sure seems like they believe that everything Trump does must be approved by Congress and clearly they are trying to remove him from office. When did the Legislative branch assume more power than the other two?
