Truly the technology capabilities of Tesla are amazing. Most of what you saw you will never see on the road. D.O.T. and .gov will stop it.

Nevertheless, the combination of a car company and a rocket company was briefly amazing.

Musk is truely the greatest industrialist of all time.
He makes things happen in real time that are just dreams in everybody elses heads.
I hope he stays on our side, and has a very long life. He will develop many things in the future that will hugely enhance our lives.

If I were an investor I would would lay money on it.
If I were a young person I would scramble to find employment in one of his company's.

On a side note, back in the 1970's Jim Hall who owned Chaparral racing in Midland TX developed "The Fan" road racing car that had a large fan underneath that sucked it to the track. It of course was quickly banned because it worked.

I was fortunate enough to go to his shop complex in Midland years ago to take pictures of his Indy 500 race car that Unser drove to victory. It was a Ad for Gabriel Shocks who were one of the cars sponsors. While there I asked Jim Hall about the Fan car, his face lite with a smile and he said to me, "you want to see it" I said YA!
He walked me over to a shed and slide the shed door back, there it was just sitting there full of dust. I wonder to this day what that car would be worth now.

You are sitting at a redlight and a car is closing on you from behind. Your Tesla leap frogs into the air and other car slides underneath you and misses you. Great safety feature. DOT approval +1

Regardless of its utility, and regardless of what some may think of Musk, this is an engineering feat you won't see repeated by anyone else for a long, long time. And maybe some spin-offs (no pun). Credit where it's due, Musk is a new order genius - maybe a mad genius, but a genius. Renaissance style.

Nice!

They have come a long way from an electric Lotus, but I wouldn't mind a stripped version of the McMurtry for the rest of us.

A light weight single seat short wheelbase car would be loads of fun**

**(Yeah, I know that I'd still be stuck behind the same friggen Toyota minivan in the morning, but can't we dream?)

I highly doubt that will all be available on the production model.

They are already selling them for delivery in 2028. The base car is $250,000 and the invite only car with thrusters and flying is $500,000......

Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................
