I have used the J.A. Henckels. They look nice but I felt the quality wasn't that great and they are too slim with sharp edges. Awkward to hold and kind of "springy" when you make the cut.

I trim my fingernails myself.

However, because I’m getting older and my knees don’t like to bend like they used to, I go to a nail shop and have them do my toenails. They also scrape off my callouses and rough skin and give me a heckuva good foot and calf massage.

It’s cheap, it’s more than worth the piddly cost, it’s done right.

And men, let me tell you, when your toe nails are nicely trimmed and callouses and rough spots are gone, the ladies really approve and like to get nekkid and tangle up with you. Big Grin

I have the J.A. Henckels too. It works well and the design is pretty cool but it’s a nail clipper and I haven’t put more thought into it

Yes, the Mehaz are made in Japan. I have the curved small for fingers and curved large for toes. I tried the straight one (large, for toes), and did not like it as much. I got all three on Amazon.

My wife got me a pair of FINOX brand supposedly hand made in Germany. Sharp as hell and about 28 to 30 dollars on Amazon.

Dang. The things you find on SigForum. This one looks like the P210 of nail clippers. I had no idea that this class of nail clippers existed.

I don’t use clippers on my nails nowadays. I spend about three minutes every morning filing them down a bit. Keeps all of my nails smooth, and about the same short length. Clippers are great for hangnails.

Got the JA Henckels.. Love them for fingernails. Use a much larger size regular looking pr for toe nails. JAHs are slim, sharp, and easy to use. I wish I’d have bought a pr of the Rooster and Hen clippers when (can’t remember his name) knife seller from Arkansas had them 10 yrs ago. Always trusted his advice even if you paid a premium.

This.

Purchased after hearing about them here - they are the best I've ever used and I can't see myself ever using any other brand. Had them a couple of year now (I think) and they still work as well as the day I got them.

AG Russell knives Springdale AR.

My father gifted me some AG Russell branded nail clippers years ago. Made in France. Good quality, but I know the old man paid about four times their worth from Russell.

Manicures people! It's relaxing. Makes your nails look good. Solves all those hangnail, etc. problems. Pedicures too! Smile

OKCGene has it right. I am a woman & I really am more likely to look forward to getting nekkid when my man's feet feel nice & not all prickly/scratchy when I rub up against him! At the very least, you're more likely to get foot rubs. I LOVE massages of all kinds so I alway take care of my feet, just in case my man decides to give me a foot massage.

I'm really not sure who is right anymore. After stoning and filing my feet for years, I'm still as ignored as a mule who rolls in the barnyard. But it does keep the sheets from tearing.

As a forum member famously said, just before I invested in a couple hunner-dollah fitted sheets, "Ya got to clip yer claws regular-like." Although he made it sound like I probably had feet like a Galápagos lizard.

For the record, I'm officially just over four years with both Macy's Hotel Collection 600 tpi sheets. No rips. T'anks!

I'm with HRK. In a past thread on this same subject somebody else posted these, that was a few years back. Been very pleased and no mess with chasing around small clippings. AAA+++
