In April [on April 1 no less] my father in law was diagnosed with leukemia [whichever is the 'best' form to have]
Started pill chemo & once adjusted has been doing well with it.

Went in last month for a lump/discomfort in his chest.
Found out this week he has stage 2 breast cancer.
He went in for a PET scan yesterday & got genetic scan done as well.

My wife is freaking out over it & her dad is either holding it in or really taking it in stride.

He's scheduled for a mastectomy in early December.

This has been a year of getting repeatedly kicked in the teeth it seems. Ready to put it behind us & move into 2025. Has to be better than this year has been.

Scary stuff. Thankfully, he’s attentive to changes in his health and got into treatment quickly. I think he’s got reason to be positive, I’ll say a prayer.
