Well bendable you need to visit the wonderful South. They are very popular in Tennessee. BTW Barqs root beer is quite available even though the Barq family sold it to Coke. Barqs root beer in a bottle with your Shrimp PoBoy.
I think the flavored coating is a trade secret. Moon pies are tasty. They even throw them at Mardi Gras parades.

I have been buying RC Cola regularly for the last year or so since I gave up on Coke. But it is only $1 when it is on sale here. It's regular price is marked at $2.50 right now but it is usually on sale at various prices. Sometimes 2 for $4 or BOGO for $2.50. It's been over a month since the last 4 for $4 sale price though.
Chocolate coating shown above, but also available dipped in various different flavors besides chocolate, like vanilla, banana, strawberry, lemon, orange, or caramel.
I don't drink much cola, and I'm not a snob. Black, bubbly and not overly sweat suits me fine I always get diet. A while back, the wife and I stopped at a 7-11 for some drinks. I did the fountain pour of diet, and she had the non diet. Some how I couldn't remember which was which, so we tasted back and forth and neither of us could tell the difference. That confirmed my suspicion that if they run out of diet, they just tap into regular figuring the diet drinking crowd would enjoy it more and not complain. I just get a bottle out of the cooler now.

I hear about moon pies on the young Sheldon TV show.
I thought it was a term of endearment involving the moon .
Root beer rules, I miss it
A “flavored coating” is a variation of chocolate that does not adhere completely to the Code of Federal Regulations Standard of Identity for chocolate, which has strict guidelines for milk, dark and white chocolates. Tl;dr? It’s like chocolate but with vegetable oil instead of cocoa butter (usually).
Well, ya'll can keep eating your 3 3/4" moon pies for $.50 each. I ain't gonna participate until the company goes back to the 6" version priced at $.05 each back in my youth! (And the $.05 RC cola that helped flush it down....)
Of course, that was back when the local Drive-In feature movie was the classic, "Boy With the Green Hair". I guess it has been a few years..............
I can't see spending $3 for a 2 liter and it goes flat in a day or two, let alone $12 for a case of soda. I know, inflation, but certain things are just crazier than others.
I never buy 2 litter bottles of soda because the prices are always ridiculous or it goes flat before I can finish it. Unless I'm bringing soda to a Thanksgiving dinner or some type of event it's cans for me.
Where I live I buy in bulk when 12 packs are on sale. Before inflation I was paying 2.50 to 3.00 dollars a 12 pack but you had to buy 4 at a time to get that price. Which was no problem. Now I'm paying about 4.00 dollars per 12 pack when on sale which I might have to wait a week or 2 for it to cycle around.
I never pay the non sale price of over 6-8 bucks a 12 pack.
My friends laugh at me when they see 10 or more 12 packs stacked in the corner. I drink 1 can a day my only guilty pleasure. Usually will last me 3-4 months at a time.
You have to buy smart and in bulk. This message has been edited. Last edited by: dfens,
