^^ WTF, why the pessimism...Make NO sense!

Right now we are at a unique moment in history...We have an opportunity to Make America Healthy Again, which is something that's NEVER 'seriously' even been on the radar screen of the US Gov't!

There's ZERO reason why we need a Medical Scientist to 'administrate' HHS. Administrators administrate...Scientists do science! We need Medical Scientists to do the real work of medical research required to develop sound health policy.

RFK Jr was quite vocal, and on the right side during COVID. Unfortunately, there were FAR TOO MANY Doctors and Medical Scientists at the time that were willing to follow ignore the science, and were outspoken, telling everyone to 'just get the fucking vaccine'! It's extremely unfortunate, but when the opportunity existed, nobody was listening to Dr. Scott Atlas. That said, there's no reason why he can't play a role in MAHA. It's certainly possible he was considered and maybe even offered a position already, only to decline that nomination...We may never know. Regardless, we already have Dr. Jay Bhattacharya nominated to head the NIH, and Dr. Marty Makary nominated to head the FDA, so clearly the Trump transition Team is looking at qualified 'Medical Scientists' to be an important part of the Trump Administration.

Remember, this was a Unity Ticket. Donald Trump specifically wanted to expand the base. In bringing RFK Jr. on board, he brought along many of his supporters based on a commitment to follow through/focus on a key principle of RFK Jr's core beliefs, and in doing so, incorporate MAHA into MAGA. This is a win, and I for one, believe RFK Jr is THE RIGHT PERSON to run HHS during Trump 2.0! More importantly, Donald Trump thinks RFK Jr is the right person, and as such, it's time for everyone to get on board the Trump Train...Our best days lie ahead and we're back on track for success!

What I'm hoping to see from an RFK, Jr.-headed HHS is, in addition to...

I'm also hoping to see our food supply chain cleaned up.

Elimination of highly-questionable additives such as the Red Dye #3 that was finally banned by FDA just a few days ago would be a good start.

Then, and here's the part many members here I think won't like: Regulations to bring our processed foods more in line with European standards. Yes: Europeans get a lot wrong. This, IMO, is not one of them.

E.g.:
US vs. EU Kellog's Corn Flakes:

US vs. EU Kellog's Fruit Loops:

US vs. UK Heinz Tomato Ketchup:

It is argued there's more than enough evidence to suggest the adulteration of our food supply with all these additives is, at least in part, responsible for our obesity epidemic.

Last, but not least: End the government's and health care industry's emphasis on high-carbohydrate diets.

A constant supply of carbs may well be the single most significant cause for our obesity epidemic.

Good luck with that.

A good reputation, once compromised, is very, very hard to regain.

At worst, RFK Jr will destroy his own credibility with little to show for it.
I pray not.

What you can certainly expect is Big Pharma, Big Food, those they own in "our" government and universities, and the Dominant "News" Media lapdogs of those to do everything in their power to discredit anything RFK, Jr. and the rest of MAHA tries to accomplish.

We're talking A LOT of money for all of those to lose by correcting our health and nutrition.
