Aaron Rodgers Sends Stark Warning Ahead of RFK Jr.’s Confirmation
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently spoke out in support of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be the next Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Kennedy, known for his controversial views on public health, has faced criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. However, Rodgers, a longtime friend of Kennedy, is prepared to defend him ahead of his upcoming confirmation hearing.
On a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers offered a stern warning to the senators who will be involved in Kennedy’s confirmation process.
“I’m looking forward to watching the hearings to just see who tried to f*ck with him,” Rodgers said, per the Daily Mail. “Like, please, somebody try and get after him and just watch him absolutely mop the floor with any of these senators.”
*
Rodgers, who considered an offer from Kennedy to be his running mate when Kennedy was running for president, emphasized Kennedy’s intelligence, saying, “You better come ready senators, come ready and try and see if you can pull one over on my boy, Bobby, because Bobby’s f*cking smart, dude.”

Kennedy’s nomination has stirred controversy due to his outspoken views on health and safety. He has gained attention for promoting controversial stances, including advocating for the removal of fluoride from the water supply, spreading misinformation about vaccines and supporting the consumption of raw milk.
As one of the more controversial picks in Trump’s cabinet, Kennedy’s anti-vaccine stance has drawn criticism from both major political parties. His agenda, which he has dubbed “Make America Healthy Again,” has earned both criticism and support from various corners of the political world.
*
Rodgers addressed some of Kennedy’s health-related beliefs, specifically in relation to the U.S. food industry. The quarterback criticized the standards for food safety, particularly the ingredients used in products sold in the United States.
“If you spend a minute researching ingredients in products in the states compared to overseas, it’s disgusting,” Rodgers said. “It’s disgusting what they allow here, the levels that they allow here, products that are terrible for you, products they know are carcinogenic.”
*
Rodgers argued that Kennedy’s efforts were in the public’s best interest, stating, “He just wants to make sure that everything that’s being given to our kids is safe, everything that we’re ingesting on a day-to-day basis is safe, and he’s going to ‘Make America Healthy Again’ or is going to freaking die trying.”
While the exact date of Kennedy’s confirmation hearing has not been set, the process will be a key moment in the upcoming Trump presidency, with the potential for high drama as senators debate Kennedy’s qualifications and controversial views.
*
Rodgers himself recently finished his first full season with the New York Jets, a season that ended with a 5-12 record, the Daily Mail notes. Despite starting every game, the Jets failed to make the playoffs once again.
However, the star quarterback remains vocal on political issues, and his strong support for Kennedy reflects his commitment to advocating for health reform.

It will be fun to watch for sure. But Same goes for most of these nominee confirmations so far. DJT picked people who were way smarter than most of the senators they were going against. At least the (D) senators. Bondi was probly the smartest legal mind up there behind Cruze and he’s on our side thankfully. Rubio is one of the club so when he gets approved by 97 votes I won’t be surprised. The real fireworks will be when Kash Patel gets up there.

It strikes me as peculiar that a website titled “Resist the Mainstream,” posts an article that sounds like it’s right out of the MSM.

Nothing wrong with having popular public figures on our side! Aaron Rodgers was on the right side when it came to COVID policy, and he's a valuable voice/ally, especially considering he's a professional athlete and in the public eye. He has an obvious interest in health, and is presumed to be somewhat knowledgeable/concerned re: health issues as a result, considering it definitely has an effect on his performance/livelihood. I welcome his voice wholeheartedly!

Unless he's a guy who regularly uses hallucinogens. Kind of like Kid Rock - a proud alcoholic drug user. No thanks.

Speaking of drug use. Timothy Leary went from a respected Harvard psychologist to a full time drug user. I saw him speak in his later years. He made little sense.

I think a full fledged drug addict is very different that what Aaron Rogers has experienced.Psychodelics have been used in controlled medical situations in other countries for years.

There’s also people who have been I. Therapy for 30 years and tried psychedelics one time and never needed a second of therapy after that. I don’t think all uses fit under one umbrella.

Psychedlics come and go for treatment of various psychological conditions, just like ketamine. To think these drugs can cure a lifetime of problems is absurd. I guess that is why we have retired athletes pushing various products. Stick to underarm deodorant and razor blades.

I feel the same. I have never liked him nor Patty Mahomes. But I agree with him here and I think the Donald did a solid nominating him for the position, etc. While I find his stances on some things strange, overall I’m happy he is getting the job. Rodgers will quickly go back to obscurity anyways. It’s like he or his team did jack shit this year. And all the hype of Rodgers in New York is history anyway as few predict him to stay.

I think the article's point was that RFK is not to be fucked with during Senate Confirmations, not about Aaron Rodgers. Let's get the train back on the tracks.

You might want to change your title. It leads with Aaron Rodgers.

I've watched a number of RFK Jr. interviews with friend and foe.

So far he hasn't impressed me with a superior intellect or reasoning power, beyond what anyone with a good education might have.

I'm also tired of celebrities speaking outside their area of expertise being given extra intelligence bonus points just because of their celebrity status.

He's also done a recent conversion to the conservative cause, mostly out of convenience.

He's probably as good or better than the outgoing administration's HHS Director but that's a low bar and not what I voted for.

If he does get in, I hope he surprises me and far exceeds expectations.

RFJ, Jr.?

Man, have you ever got a wrong number

RFK, Jr. isn't a convert to the conservative cause. He (and, ostensibly, Trump) has joined MAHA to MAGA is all.

I'm not certain what you think "Make America Healthy Again" means, but I suspect you won't like much of it.

At best, RFK Jr will be a loud noise and a bunch of scary quotes, but will be pressed to yield to “the gold standard of evidence-based medicine”; with a bunch of systematic reviews under the aegis of Marty Makary, who is an actual medical scientist. Some of those will show current medications to be ineffective; a few will show there are actual harms and those drugs will be withdrawn. The best outcome—and it would be good—would be some restoration of trust in the public health system, which that system destroyed by its authoritarian and anti-science control of the country during COVID.

At worst, RFK Jr will destroy his own credibility with little to show for it.

That’s my rather pessimistic opinion. I would prefer to see a medical scientist heading HHS, and I would specifically recommend Dr. Scott Atlas of the Hoover Institute.
