Fighting the good fight

That would depend, partly, on which side of the Atlantic they live... A "fanny" in the US is quite different from a "fanny" in Britain (as well as most former British territories). Though located nearby, at least on 50% of the population. |

Yeah, I have a "fanny" pack that I wear to the gym. Nice size to hold my truck keys, wife's inhaler, diabetes meds, music, and a Kimber Micro 9 with 2 mags..... I'm 73 so I don't look out of place! |

Peace through superior firepower
| What's wrong with doing this? It's a pack wth a strap.
This thread is silly. |

Urban "youths" do it too, also for carrying guns, or to look like they may be packing. Typically in designer print like Gucci or LV. I think it started around the time skinny jeans became a thing right after baggy pants went out. |

Peace through superior firepower
| You guys need to get out more. Lots of people do this. All kinds of people. Not just "urban youths" or thugs or whomever. It has nothing to do with pants fashion. Men routinely wear packs these days. Decades ago, this was considered effeminate. Decades.
I'll say it again- this is a damn silly thread. It sounds like some of you have been locked in a closet in your house for a few years. |

So, what you're saying is I'm "In style" w/ my fanny pack? No wonder I'm getting all these looks. Or it's my black socks in sandals. I'm back baby! I bet I look fabulous too. |

| I just watched an episode of Ted Lasso. One of the characters, Jaime, was doing just this. I don’t do it like I stated earlier because I don’t like fanny packs but the variation that is the sling pack is fantastic. In the end though they are pretty close. Gotta agree it’s hard to understand some of the disdain. On the other hand I remember getting railed in a bike thread for wearing a chest pack. Apparently “real” bikers won’t wear those. Lol
Wear what works for you. |

Still finding my way
| I've noticed sling packs are a lot more common to see. I think they are useful but prefer the utility of a standard backpack. I do have a Maxpedition Versipack that I use as a range bag. It's perfect for everything you'd need to lug to different stages of a pistol competition. |
