Well, tonight is another new one for me. It's Old Bardstown bottled in bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. From the Willett Distillery.

It's nice.

Didn't know Old Bardstown was still made. Went to the distillery in 68 when I was at the Armor School at Ft. Knox. Carload of GIs showed up at night, got a guided tour from the night guy. Very interesting! He grabbed a mouse from a grain pile, waved it over a mash vat for maybe 20 or 30 seconds, it was then dead as a hammer. CO2 suffocated it. If I ever see another bottle, will get it just for old times' sake.

Sam Adams New England IPA is a god one. I had a couple of locals at the brewery downtown. Treasure Grove Pale Ale, and a Little Napoleon IPA.

Probably the Whistler Bourbon-Oloroso cask finish whiskey. Love the Irish.

Booker’s. I like high proof bourbon, but a single ice cube doesn’t begin to temper this fire water.

Tried for the first time tonight Evan Williams Single Barrel served neat. Very smooth and flavorful. A step up from my favorite Buffalo Trace, but still a good value at $34. I recommend it.
